So ready for the day this pump and dump goes bankrupt! 🤑
May be at a loss now, but the guy's 82 and there's no viable way the company can compete with established social media platforms.

Please forgive my ignorance as I'm new to short selling in practice. By all means correct me if I'm mistaken on how it impacts overall value. That said, hear me out.
From my understanding, large volumes of shorts impact the strike price in a manner similar to large volume stock purchases. Of course, this attracts serious investors who would see this as a chance to get in on a company at a bargain, and in such a scenario short sellers do tend to lose, as those who've been here since the beginning know.
For those who don’t, the TL;DR is hedge fund companies tried profiting off the pandemic by shorting companies that suffered from the resultant lock downs. This pissed off enough redditors to form this community with the goal of massively inflating strike price of said companies, forcing the hedge funds to pay the fees associated with short ownership until giving in and selling at a loss
(Again, from how it was explained to me. I'm no expert and this year was my first time buying any shorts in anything. Feel free to correct me)
Well, putting all politics aside, regardless of your personal beliefs I want you to download TruthSocial and take a look at the content. Pay special attention to the comments under Donald's 'Truths' in particular.
Notice how every single one of them equates him to being the epitome of patriotism against the evil opposition?
I'm not saying anything about anything, in terms of politics, all I'm saying is that there's two possibilities:
A) Only people who are die hard supporters are active on the site
B) Heavy moderation deters people from the slightest degree of criticism.
In either case, does anyone really believe this company is worth its $2.35 billion market cap in the five years since IPO? To put that in perspective, that's almost double Myspace's $1.2 billion marketcap in 2010.
Do you honestly believe it'll maintain that value with such a small demographic long term with no substantive discorse?
I'm not saying that this stock is inherently a pump and dump or used as a means for powerful people to gain political favor, such claims being tossed around are pretty dubious and regardless it's not even a can of worms worth opening here. But in any case, it's either
A) a means for the rich to get richer profiting off the poor through a pump and dump while gaining political favor.
B) A massively overvalued stock compared to its long term sustainability compared to its competitors.
If A, then it's the exact sort of thing WSB was first organized to fight against.
If B it's the inverse of a meme stock opportunity with real long term potential.
I don't see room for a third option wherein it becomes a genuinely respected social media platform though.
Somebody prove me wrong
