Selling this stunning Gyuto knife

Yoshikane Hamono 210mm Nashiji in SKD steel.

Bought it new from a collector for 400€.

I used it once for testing on a bell pepper and a tomato on a soft hinoki board so the knife is as new, never sharpened/stropped. It's a very nice knife totally worth the hype but I personally prefer short, wide blades (Santoku/Nakiri) and since I have many, many other knifes in my collection this one may make someone else very happy.

I'm asking what I paid,:

400€ PayPal and shipping within US or EU included. I can ship domestically both from within the EU (Germany via DHL) and the US (from Anchorage via UPS. I'll be in Anchorage twice until early September so if you're from Anchorage you can pick it personally as well).

Canada domestic shipping or pickup from Vancouver is possible late September.

Will post more knives for sale in the next couple of days (Yoshimi Kato SG2, Shigeki Tanaka, Yu kurosaki Fujin and others)

Herder 1922 Chef Knife – 230 mm Carbon Steel – New in Box

Brand new Herder 1922 230 mm chef knife (carbon steel, Solingen). Never used, still in original box. Includes original oil bottle for handle care.

I own two of these, so I'm letting one go from my collection.

Currently based in Germany, but I will be in the US (Anchorage / San Francisco) in late July and August. US domestic shipping from within the country is available during that time, avoiding international shipping and customs/import hassle.

Price:

US buyers: 280 USD (net to me), US domestic shipping paid by buyer (tracked method of choice)

EU buyers: 245€+15€ shipping within Europe

Finally got to use my Deba

Debas are great for filleting fish, but when does a home cook actually have the opportunity to use them?

I have had some Debas for many years but only had the whole fish to fillet a handful of times. So I decided to take the Deba for a short fishing trip to Alaska. It was good fun cutting the salmon with the Deba. Was it a good idea on the rocks? Probably not, I chipped the tip when accidentally hitting the rock twice or so (I didn't mean to have any contact with the surface but I slipped a few times)

Was it worth it? Definitely.

Dear community,

What does this Kanji on the knife handle say?

I read

播州 重勝 作

Is this correct? What does it mean in this context?
