Useless Characters Or Items In Terms Of Abilities

Vamporcini (PVZ2) - Its main ability is to be a defensive plant that can drain the zombie's health. However, the ability is not even strong enough to do any noticeable damage, and the regained health is not noticable, and the ability is only temporary.

Flatshroom (PVZ2C) - This plant is used to block the vents and grates in Steam Ages, mainly to stop steam. However, it's not even good at its job. It won't remove the steam, and can also be eaten by zombies that can enter through the grates.

SeaFlora (PVZ2) - Its main ability is to fire piercing bubbles, but it has weak damage and slow firing rate. Even if it is planted in water, the difference is that SeaFlora can now fire in 3 lanes instead of 1.

The Bombardier (Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart) - It is a support weapon that can shoot bombs through a drone. Compared to Mr. Fungi, its damage and range is worse.

How to write where the main character love to go on dates with another important character?

Essentially, the main character has interesting chemistry with another important character while going on dates. This is for a mystery story, so I would like to improve their relationship while the story progresses. I have a few ideas, but I would like to hear your opinions on this. Thank you in advance.

Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome. This is where one of the characters will suddenly die in the sequel, or before the sequel starts.

Virginia (Happy Gilmore 2) - She dies after being struck in the head by a golf ball Happy Gilmore hit.

Newt and Hicks (Alien 3) - They die in the pods.

Alex (Final Destination) - He dies in between films. I think it was a brick to the head.

The Jumpscare

This is my first post here, so please be kind.

The Hallway Jumpscare (The Exorcist 3) - After waiting for a while, and watching the nurse, someone in a sheet comes out behind her.

The Mummy (Scooby Doo Escape From The Coolsonian) - Once you open the casket and have to look closely at the small ass text, you then get jumpscared by this edited version of a mummy.

YouTube (IRL) - When you're watching a video, and it decides to go black, and you get jumpscared by your double chin. (This one is a joke, don't take it seriously.)
