Umatch or glitch after date?
I (F) went on a date with a guy from Tinder who was in my city only for a day. It was nothing crazy but we got on well enough that the conversation was flowing and I ended up in his apartment for a bit and we kissed and nothing more. When I got home I texted him that I made it back safely as he requested and politely said thanks for a fun night and wished him good luck for his travels.
The next day he replied, and I could only read the very last message of him saying thanks for a fun night too because Tinder hit me with a big verification screen because he’s photo-verified and mustve changed it to the settings that only accepts messages from other verified users (also weird timing). I don't know if he thought I was a catfish and changed his settings but he gave me a lot of physical compliments so didn't seem like it? Also I have no clue if there were more messages.
Two days later the entire match is gone. Either he unmatched me or maybe Tinder removed the match since I wasnt verified?!
Is this just standard post-date unmatching behavior? Or a tinder glitch? I personally dont unmatch people unless theyve crossed the line behaviour wise for me, but he sent me a positive reply after so I just feel like unmatching is a bit hurtful, even if there's no use for the match anymore but I'm taking it somewhat personally.
Anyone else experienced this with the verification wall and an unmatch?
