How can you be so stupid…
The brief circumstances are that on 21 June 2025, PC Benjamin Pullen misused his position by providing personal contact details to a member of the public during a traffic stop and deliberately deactivated his body worn video to engage in improper conduct.
PC Pullen subsequently entered into an inappropriate relationship formed through his duties, failed to declare that relationship and his association with a registered sex offender, and provided a dishonest and misleading account to a supervising officer.
On 28 October 2025, during a 111 call, PC Pullen failed to identify himself as a police officer and provided a false name.
In doing so it is alleged that PC Pullen has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
Honesty and Integrity
Discreditable Conduct
Duties and Responsibilities
Orders and Instructions
PC Pullen was in attendance for these proceedings. He was not represented at the hearing however he had been given this opportunity.
The Chair, Deputy Assistant Commissioner Carl Galvin, found that allegations proven on the balance of probabilities (apart from allegation 6B) and that PC Pullen had breached the Standards of Behaviour at the level of Gross Misconduct.
Decision
PC Pullen was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing barred list.
