:(
I’m not really sure where to start with this, but I’ve been feeling pretty discouraged about my workload during evening shifts.
It feels like management expects me to zone everything whenever I’m working evenings, even though I’m already a Health & Beauty associate and I’m frequently pulled to Fashion, Homelines, and Toys to help out. Today, one of the managers asked me to zone both Homelines and HBA, knowing that those are some of the hardest departments to get through.
I worked on all the go-backs for both departments first and then started zoning Homelines. Since I only had about three hours, I was only able to finish zoning Homelines and take care of the go-backs I found throughout the aisles. I didn’t even have enough time to get to HBA.
I’m bringing this up because sometimes it feels like too much is being put on me while other departments seem to have more downtime. For example, I’ll see OGP associates on their phones or Front End associates standing around when the store isn’t busy, while I’m trying to get through multiple departments and keep everything zoned.
I don’t mind helping out or getting my work done, but it can be frustrating when I’m given a lot of responsibilities within a short amount of time and then feel like I’m not doing enough because I couldn’t finish everything. Today, I was honestly just zoning and feeling really discouraged
