I like the look of the black rotate more but the durability of the silver I assume will be better.
I know both hinges are metal but the plastic body of the black model worries me as I just sent in my Flip 2 for cracking plastic.
Anyone made a choice with similar concerns? And why did you end up choosing the one you did?
(If they had a black metal one that’d be my choice)
I’m able to send in my unit for a replacement as my hinge just developed a small crack, but I’m curious as how I’m going to get all my data exactly the same as on the old one?
Is it just drag and drop everything from my SD card and internal storage to my PC then back to the new console?
Will I have to setup my front end, bios and file paths all over again? And what about android apps that are no longer available on google play or online? Will I be able to even access and transfer those apps files?
Sorry if this is a long dumb post but I’m just nervous about losing data since I literally use this thing everyday.
I have the Black Wave 1 flip 2 and after very careful use looks like a super small hairline crack has finally appeared by the hinge, at this point should I get a replacement or wait for the Flip3 that’ll most likely be coming soon I’d think?
I’m assuming I’d have to pay customs for return or for the new one being based in the US, would love some input on this if anyone has gone through the replacement process before.
And then final question does anyone know if the Flip2 on Amazon is the v2 with the good hinge?
