35F, Pros/Cons of Fibroid Removal Surgery?

I'm sure this has been asked thousands of times, I'm genuinely so sorry, but I'm hoping for some advice/experience from people that are around my age or have/had similar stuff going on.

(Thanks in advance for being patient with me. It's about 3 AM here, I'm fixated on my fibroid, and I can't call my doctor's office until Monday, lol.)

Last June, I found out that I have a 4.9cm fibroid when I took an ER trip for severe cramps. I'm used to exceptionally awful cramps, but this time, it ramped up to a 10 on the pain scale and had been going on for about an hour before my husband finally convinced me to let him take me to the ER. That's when they discovered the fibroid, and they said it's not something to worry about, it's just big.

I did some light research at the time and figured I've gone my whole menstruating life with extremely heavy periods and severe cramps, so I should be fine! Why spend the money if surgery is unnecessary, you know?

I usually have to change an ultra size tampon every 1-2 hours for the first two days of my period. I sleep with an overnight pad and a couple of towels every night and still wake up rushing to the bathroom before I bleed all over everything. 99% of the time, I have to hand-rinse my underwear that I was wearing that night before I throw them in the laundry bin because I leaked all over them.

With cramps, if I can get ahead of them, I can take four ibuprofen and it's not as debilitating. If I wake up with cramps, I'm screwed. It's just standard monthly procedure at this point, lol. I'm sure many of us here can relate.

I'm currently on day two of my period, and I'm getting more and more frustrated with the heavy bleeding every month. I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should consider getting this fibroid removed and if it will actually help me. I plan on talking to my doctor on Monday. He's really great, and I'm sure he'll give me a lot of helpful information. At the same time, I kinda wanna talk to multiple doctors or even a specialist so I can make a well-rounded, informed decision. I want to have a conversation about a possible hysterectomy since I don't plan on having children (my husband had a vasectomy a few years ago). I want to know what pros/cons there are, if it's better to get just the fibroid out, or if they'll say it's better to have the whole uterus moved out.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this. I might get myself to fall asleep in a couple of minutes, but I'd love to hear what others have to say. Any advice, any questions I should have, anything I'm doing wrong, and any experiences from you that I can ponder over so I can be prepared for the discussion with my doctor will be immensely appreciated. Thank you guys so, so much.

I Went to Swedish Moose Candy Co.

I'm Swedish from my mom's side, I studied in Sweden as a teenager, and ever since IKEA stopped selling the pick-and-mix candies, I've felt a great hole in my heart where Swedish Candy once was.

When I heard there was a specialty Swedish Candy store opening, I was elated! I had to visit right away!! I got there 10 minutes before it opened, the anticipation and excitement building, as a crowd formed around the door. As they opened, I walked in and actually started crying. I got so overwhelmed with nostalgia and happiness. I missed my mom. I missed Sweden. I had to almost immediately walk to a corner to get out of the way and compose myself.

Oh, the selection! Every kind of candy I had been missing for so long! I didn't even think. I grabbed a bag and got to work filling it with raspberry boats, jelly rats, Dumle, Kex, and so, so, SO much more. When that bag was filled, I grabbed another bag and filled that one, too. I snatched up four Marabou bars from the display, one for each member of my household. I felt like a kid again (in a candy store, lol). I even grabbed one of those tiny 3D-printed Dala horses because, well, why not?

I got to the register, barely even caring about how much I was about to spend. I had glanced at the signs that said "$1.25 per ounce", but that didn't stop my voracious pursuit. My bags were weighed, about 73 ounces for the both of them. The Marabou was added in, and my grand total appeared: $114.56.

Eep. I couldn't very well edit my bags and the candy I had already scooped. I'm sure I couldn't hide my shock. My ghost was probably visible outside my skin, but I quickly moved some money around in my account, made my impulse purchase, and left with an exhilarated yet quivering smile.

The past few days have been a mixture of remorse and "it was worth it". It flips between the two each time I see the candy bags. I have a small handful (or two) every day. I share it with my husband. I'm happy, he's happy, the candy is delicious and fresh, I have no money left until Wednesday, but I have 4 1/2 lbs of candy. Maybe that's all I need right now.

The description for the Commodity Ice(d) Deluxe Mini is listed as:

"A velvety, after-hours scent that opens with black currant and pear nectar, then melts into midnight jasmine and vanilla crème. It dries down warm with amber woods and caramelized patchouli for that confident, lingering finish. Mist it head to toe and reapply whenever you want the vibe back."

But when I opened and sniffed it, it was very obviously not that at all. It was very citrus-forward. I went and checked the full-size version just now, and the description is totally different:

"Like diving into a frozen lake and surfacing into sunlight, this fragrance is equal parts cool and electric. The scent of frozen mango and crisp spearmint hit first, instantly refreshing like an ice-cold splash, before warming into ginger, black pepper, and a smooth amber base that lingers like a cozy sweater. It’s clean, bright, and just a little unexpected."

These are both the same products as far as I can tell, just one's mini size. They're both the "Expressive" version of Commodity Ice(d). It smells really nice, honestly, but I was disappointed because I added this on as an extra to my order and was expecting something completely different.

I left a review, but now I'm wondering if reaching out to the Ipsy customer service team was the better option? I'm very inexperienced at this kinda thing, lol.
