Never touched a transmission before nor attempting to but just got curious. With how easy videos make rebuilds seem, are there common traps or mistakes new people make when rebuilding one?

I have an heirloom jalapeño growing and just got a cayenne pepper from a plant shop. How worried should I be about cross pollination or anything I need to watch out for?
