Padded Seat

Did a HM a few weeks ago and decided I wanted a more comfortable seat. Added the Vapor Fitness cover with a pad underneath but every time I park the rower vertically they fall off.

Sometimes I left it horizontal and my helpful wife would stand it up and the pads were nowhere to be found.

Solved it with large rubber bands from Amazon. Seat is a bit more comfortable and nothing is misplaced. Rubber band is soft and fluffy, no issues sitting on it for a session. Placed the rubberband so it doesn't interfere with rollers underneath.

WOD

Who comes up with the WOD? Looked at it, said to myself....I got this.

I nearly died. Thank you.

I do have a couple of questions for the more experienced rowers....

  1. how are you timing your return to the catch vs the drive when coming off a "rest" period?

  2. when an interval is ending and the PM5 records your # s/m...is it averaging number of strokes you completed based on one minute?, or just recording the measured s/m as the interval ended?

Thank you all.

I've had a humble garage setup for 20 years now and it's perfect for me. I can workout anytime I choose, make all the noise I want and blast the music I choose. I do occasionally still go to my local gym, 6 min drive from home. It's a serious place where most people go to workout, little socializing, a few too many tripods though.

My wife has been begging me to go to her gym, today I gave in.....big mistake. It's a large, commercial, chain type place. Took almost 30 mins to get there. Huge mall, impossible to find parking. Full profile required to visit as a guest, already marked them as spam on email and phone text. Girl at desk asked me to wait for a trainer/salesperson....I said I wasn't interested but she insisted I had to. She left to find one, I walked through and went on about my day.

Once inside, the place is beautiful, nicely lit, new equipment everywhere. Beautiful people left and right no doubt. Dozens of cardio options, almost all in use. Tons of free weights, almost every station in use. Same for machines, etc...did a walkthrough. Found a treadmill and spent 30 mins there. Wife came over asked me how I liked it, told her I was doing 30 on treadmill and driving to my gym.

Couldn't wait to get out of there. Only thing missing was a dude with horns and a pitchfork, unbearably high temperatures and flames everywhere. I was briefly in hell, I lived to tell.

For those of you considering a home setup...do it.

Our 16yr old walked out of bathroom and we immediately noticed smell of marijuana. Smell was stronger as we neared bathroom and found ashes in his sink.

Spoke to him, eyes were red, and he immediately admitted to smoking it. We asked him for whatever pot he had and he handed it over. Not judging and staying calm just asked him to go to bed we'd talk today. I mean, most of us did this or something similar.

Besides the buds, he handed over these, I don't know what they are or how they're used. Any input is appreciated.
