Need some advice

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this community. I've been reading all the posts to follow the tips and everything but I'd like to ask for help with my profile. Could you guys check it out and tell me if there's anything I could improve on?

I've had some views but not trials at all. My profile score went from 11 to 27 and I don't know if that's relevant. Maybe my pricing could improve too? I saw teachers starting on 10usd and then 20, 27, etc.

Anyways. I'd appreciate a lot some more help with my profile. Thank you so so much in advance :)

As a Spanish teacher for now quite a bit, I've seen a lot of students learning the language through apps, videos, studying all the grammar, vocabulary lists but still freeze when it comes their turn to speak or when someone talks to them, but the problem is not the knowledge.

The problem is that they spend a lot of time trying to recognize the language instead of producing it and that's the key when it comes to language learning.

Reading and listening does help a lot, but at some point, your brain needs repetition where you actually respond in real time, even a bit of pressure, doesn't matter if it's simple or imperfect at first.

Learning something new, especially a language it's messy and uncomfortable at first, you will commit mistakes and sound strange maybe but that's fine!

Conversations or even roleplays, immersion and a lot of repetition will help you a lot to get to the point where you'll be able to say "ah! I can speak Spanish".

A lot of people can understand Spanish… but freeze when it’s their turn to respond.

That’s not a knowledge problem.
It’s lack of real-time speaking practice.

The only thing that really fixes it is repetition where you actually have to respond, not just listen or read.

I’m putting together a weekly speaking group in June focused on that.

- 1 live session per week
- Real conversations, not textbook Spanish
- Practice guides included

Only $16/month :)

If you’re in that “I understand but can’t speak” stage, this usually helps.

I’ve been noticing this a lot.

People can understand quite a bit of Spanish, sometimes a lot.
But when it’s time to respond, everything slows down or just doesn’t come out. It doesn’t seem like a knowledge issue. It’s more that the brain isn’t used to reacting in real time.

What actually helps is adding some kind of regular speaking, not random, but something consistent where you have to respond and not just listen. Even a couple of real conversations per week can make a big difference.

I’m actually starting a small conversational group in June, just focused on practicing speaking in a relaxed environment, since that’s usually the missing piece for most people.

Curious how it is for you.
Do you feel like you understand but can’t respond, or are you still building basics?
