Not exactly a story ... This blunder happened with us just yesterday and today.
Me \[22\] and my sister \[19\] are both in different colleges with different courses. My sister just joined her college just one month back.
So the thing is there are these girls in my sisters colleges which are soon creepy and weird. I'll tell you why :
They gossip about litreally everything from anybody bodyshape to their smiles to their clothes litreally everything
They are so bullish that they made their class CR resign because they taunted her so much
They are litreally of so backward mind.....one day in the class they were making derogatory remarks about reservation and the community.
It was so bad that my sister got that thing printed in her mind and told me in the evening.
The thing is, those remarks were so bad that I, as a law student, felt insulted and enraged (first mistake)
What I did was i have an insta fake account , in rage and all I went to that one of the girl's dm and litreally sent a para long message (with galis n all )
I know I shouldn't have, but that was a heat of a moment. Before dming her, I unfollowed my sister from that fake account, but somehow ....she forgot to unfollow me, and we completely forgot about my fake account comments under my sisters posts.
Time skip to 1 am yesterday. My sister calls me and tells me in panic. That the girl i dm has a friend in the hostel, and that friend and her roommate are "confronting" her with literally 6 girls standing over her head abusing her.
They saw that she followed that fake account which dmed that girl.
My sister panicked and we told her to go call her floor warden which at that time told her she should have come earlier. Means aap pehele aa jaate it I der kyu laga di.
The floor warden sorted out the fued for the night, and my sister had to sleep in some friend's room for the night.
In the morning, my sister went to the warden saying that she doesn't know who the owner of the account is and that account is just a random fake account. (Weak argument ik but we managed to make the point that at least my sister didn't make that dm, which, in fact, is true)
Now the purpose I'm here is ... My sister has said sorry to those girls that she is sorry she follows that account, but those comments were not made by her.
For the matter of fact, I blocked that girl from that account just after dming her, but she still got to know that my sister follows that account.
I deactivated and deleted that account last night at 1 am only.
Now the thing is, those girls are indirectly making her roommates against my sister by pasting fake scenarios and gossips that my sister never spoke
I'm here to beg for suggestions. My parents are in the opinion that saying sorry is enough the matter should be cool down, but my sister just called me that they are indirectly taunting her
Please tell me how should I save my sister from this mess. I'm drowning in the guilt.
My sisters rommates are almost against her saying they don't trust her. Her warden also is the same

Wattpad is serious.
Front the past few weeks, I came across many MANY posts on this sub where the random person claims its not serious to let people write whatever they want. Wattpad writers don't need moral policing for this.
The whole concept of dark romance needs a good definition so that writers don't normalise litreal crimes. Let me know if you have one.
It is serious when writers spend their night on their laptops and someone with gpt a good fan base steals all the praises for writing the "masterpiece"
For the context, I read a post some weeks back that it is okay for wattpad writers to use AI. I want to say why? What's the point of writing then? Why do you even want to write when all you can do is "Hey, gpt make this scene emotional" ? Leave the damn space for the deservers !!
People will definitely criticise you for your AI bullcrap when they know what real thoughts and real worlds read like. Don't cry for the use of AI for even grammar rectification.
I think most of the readers ignore minute spelling mistakes, but if you are sceptical in even making sentences, then learn and come back. There are lakes of books on the platform.
Wattpad is a free platform, and no doubt it is needed not to be scrutinised this deeply. But think about those passionate writers who are so confused about where to start and portray their thoughts. Wattpad is a starting line for such talent. From this FREE platform, they learn how to deal with criticism, how to deal with the audience, and how to structure their stories.

A few days back, I saw a post on this sub that physical book would have AI soon, and the comments were bittersweet about it.
Today, I present you this newspaper article where this guy is being held for using AI for a commonwealth short story competition. Can you guys believe it ?! This guy won that prize, and in his defence, he used AI because he was "ill."
This is for the people who say it's just wattpad. Why criticise AI? These same people make crowds for deserving writers in every field.
Imagine choosing an AI generated story for adaptation rather than a human one ? This is also not so far.
So, criticism and cancelling of AI didus is necessary, in my opinion. Lmk yours
How wattpad private dm spooked me and how I thank God that feature got deleted
I started using wattpad back in 2020 after a year or so. I started writing.
There was this one girl who claims to be a reader of mine. Since I started with dark fanfictions she first DMed me pretending to be very kind and fun loving just as every other reader of mine but after few weeks I don't know what in the loving world happen to her she started literal cyber threatening me.
She claimed that her friend, who was also one of my readers who loved my books, now she has unalived herself, AND THAT IS BECAUSE OF ME?! I was like, what the - like a normal person I asked her how? For which she had no reply, she just straight up spamming my DMs, spamming my comment section with hate comments, literally telling me to drop my account.
She used to curse me into changing the characters of the book according to her, or she'll report my book, and she did so, but thankfully, I got it back.
She tried to barge in my account, and she changed numerous accounts just to spam me with litreal hate.
She tried to hack my email for my ip address
I had anxiety playing with my mind like a juggle ball. I was so scared. I'm so scared, but now when a year has passed, I think I am ready to open up.. guys, do you guys also come across such psychos online ? Please let me know how to deal with them. I reported her to wattpad HQ, but obviously, there was no reaction other than telling me to block her. At last, I posted this whole situation on my message board of my account. Miraculously, she stopped..... but recently, still one person who I know is that person again spamming my followers list by continuously clicking and uncliking it. I get notifications of my new follower but when I check it she is THAT SAME GIRL except she can't message me anymore but still finds a way to play with my anxiety like this what should I do?
2 years have been passed since then. I no longer see such new accounts following me ... I posted this story elsewhere, too, for whoever was wondering, THIS WHOLE WAS OVER A FANFICTION A LITREAL BTS FANFICTION?!

Honestly, with this new social food feature, my privacy is just f***** I don't know how, but even if I vote for a story my followers get a message that she voted in this story, this is so bizarre I can't even read a book now without telling my followers what I'm reading.... in a way. It's a very good feature. But I don't want anyone to know what I am reading, right? We all have a fear of judgement, right? So why I'm telling my followers, what I'm reading, what does they achieve from this ?
Maybe it's a minimal problem. But for me, this is a very big problem because my followers didn't even know what type of language in real life I speak from i am originally. but from the books I'm reading, they will directly get to know from where am I or what language I speak, which is I am concerned the most about....
