I've owned the Opal 2.0 for a little over a year. I do a good job descaling it when the light gets a little yellow. I follow the instructions, I use the Opal descale powder and have used the descale liquid from time to time. My issue is that the period between descale requests has gone from about 1/mo to 2 weeks. I live in KY and we do have hard water. I use filtered water to fill the reservoir and have a filter inside the reservoir. I know, charcoal filters do not reduce scale.

Do you think I need to disassemble the ice maker and really get in there with brushes and open the upper tank or is there a better way? I already let it sit with the descale solution 24 hours. Higher concentration descale? Something better? I've used distilled white vinegar as well.

Anyone have a line on a new, or used, blender pitcher? My wife ran mine through the dishwasher last night and it's warped.
