I posted this car in another subreddit and my post was removed because it was believed to be an AI Img. I found a few photos of it on my feed of it, so I was just wondering what the Merc subreddits thoughts were?
Hi guys, I saw an ad in January for a company called Fortune Forged for pretty cheap beadlocks for my m340i, they offered me a discount for their wheels and told me they make them in Singapore with ethical labor, design them in the USA, and hire staff locally. I found out in February that I was basically lied to about everything regarding this company by them.
I was pretty excited about ordering given this, it’s hard to find good quality non-sweatshop wheels. They were talking down a lot of other brands like VFC Performance, HRE, BBS, etc, etc as being Chinese sweatshop wheels so I was under the impression I’d finally found a largely American company that isn’t selling overpriced Chinese wheels. They initially very heavily implied the wheels were American made in every way but raw materials.
Then upon ordering my promised 4 week eta stretched into 12 weeks. When I asked why it was so long they told me because they’re so busy they had to outsource my set to Singapore… Okay?... They kept talking bad/deflecting about other companies and how their agent had delays with shipping. Then I found this video talking about how they routinely lie to people and steal social media content

I started digging into the company more on social media and 7 other wheel companies told me they were having issues with Fortune Forged stealing their social media content from other companies and using AI to change the cars and photoshop their own centercaps on and mislead customers.
I put up with it and hoped my Singapore made wheels would arrive and there would be no issues. The real huge kick in the balls was that they arrived with a HUGE pink “MADE IN CHINA” label, and they were sent my some generic trading company. I called the company and the people on the phone were clearly Chinese speaking broken English. When I called ups to investigate, after 3 months today they told me the wheels had been handed over to them from a company that does Shanghai-to-LA logistics. At this point I’m pretty sure in every way this company has defrauded me, and while the wheels look normal, I feel like I was totally ripped off and sold a set of AliExpress/Temu wheels under the pretense they were initially American and later Singaporean.
Do I have any legal recourse to sue this company? Even the comments in the YouTube video imply this company is owned by an early 20s kid named Torin Witt and a few google searches show some Instagram accounts stating they’ve been scammed by the company… so now I’m doubting if they even have a design team, sales staff, or anything like that at all… To make it worse, a lot of the accounts they sent me for referrals on Instagram have been deleted and I also read in some Reddit threads from some commenters that the owner routinely uses fake social media accounts to promote his own content and pages pretending to be customers. I hope yall can help
