How did you know your baby was ready for bite-sized food?

I want to start this by saying, yes I am FTM. My baby is getting to the stage where I think we’re supposed to start introducing more actual bite-sized food pieces instead of mostly purées/mashes and I suddenly feel like I forgot how feeding works.

She sits up really well and she watches what we eat in pure amazement and curiosity. She mouths EVERYTHING and I’m starting to notice a pincer grasp happening sometimes. We’ve done some softer foods here and there but I still get nervous about sizes/texture/choking etc.

Did you do a gradual transition or just kind of…went for it? What signs made you feel like your baby was actually ready? I keep seeing these BLW videos on social media that shows a 7 month old casually gnawing on a full steak dinner while I’m over here overthinking the amount of times I need to slice grapes lol.

Hi all, I keep seeing Wildgrain mentioned as a good option for gluten free subscriptions, and I went digging and realized they have a whole lot more than just that so now I'm trying to figure out who the whole thing actually works and hopefully hear from some people who've recently ordered.

From what I understand it's a frozen bread and pastry subscription, but I'm not totally clear on the mechanics and I can't seem to find the info on their website. Here are the main ones (put into bullet points because I was about to post and then went dang that's a lot of text to stare at):

  • Do you pick the items within whichever box type you pick or is it preset?
  • Can you change it each time?
  • Are you baking straight from frozen or defrosting first?
  • And how much room does it take up in the freezer?

I'm also curious about the delivery timing and how easy it is to manage. I've read a few posts about it taking longer than two days, is it still coming frozen?

Thanks for your help, all. I love me my bread and would be absolutely tickled to get some monthly delights, but I want to see if it's worth the cost and hear some real world reviews, first.
