Fit on older Viberg 2030 service boot

I’m looking to pick up an older 2030 service boot and trying to see if people can give me some sizing advice. Not totally sure on the date, but seller is estimating it to be 2017-2019. It’s a cowhide cxl. I know the newer 2030 toes have changed over the years and hear they’re narrower now. Older ones may also have less lining and therefor fit slightly larger?

I don’t have any vibergs for comparison but tried on some current 2040s. I’m about a 9E brannock. I was actually able to fit an 8.5 and 8 (e I guess as they’re all considered e?) in the 2040 for length. Both felt tight, though I was wearing thick-ish socks (not quite boot sock thick). Is 8E in the older 2030 going to be too small? I read that the normal d 2030 will be narrower than 2040, but wasn’t sure for e older 2030s.

Edit: stamped size is 8e and specifically says uk. Do I treat this as a 9 then? Or 8?

Make it all indigo, but without denim

UES tricotine - sizing thoughts below
UES indigo dyed shirt (not sure if no 7 or 16 and don’t own anything else to compare to) - suuuuper nice shirt and the coloring is amazing in person in the sun.
Timecatcher sashiko fatigues - thoughts below

Also couple other things I was gonna note: Tricotine is sized down from a previously post I made where the overwhelming majority said to keep the size 3. I went against the grain and with my own gut and got a 2. Fits much better imo, more like an overshirt than a winter jacket.

Also, haven’t seen these timecatcher sashiko fatigues on here yet (same parent company as Bronson who don’t know). Overall like them, but not sure I’d have paid as much as I did knowing these points now. Wish they were slightly wider/more relaxed. It’s definitely a straight leg fit. Waist is a little large for the high rise. The small sit on my hips (32ish) unless I wear a belt for my waist - 29-30. With the high rise, wearing on the hips means your leg movement gets fairly restricted and you can’t raise them very high. Also wish the front pockets were a bit bigger. Lastly, these are not color fast at all and bleed like crazzzzyyy. Just putting them on and my hands turned blue. I’ve had them for about 2 weeks now and they are noticeably lighter all over. Don’t think you’ll get high contrast fades in these since they lose indigo everywhere hah. But will likely get a more classic vintage fade quickly. Definitely don’t wear these around white fabrics.

Bought a size 3 off another member thinking it would shrink to the right size since a size 3 tshirt did but it’s definitely big on me. Was able to shrink it slightly in the washer and dryer but it’s still large on me. There’s another member offering me a size 2 and wondering if I should size down or keep this for an oversized fit. It doesn’t LOOK big, but it definitely feels big prob the heavy fabric just makes it hang down rather than billow out. Feels/looks fine if I leave it unbuttoned. One of the pictures shows how much extra fabric I have. I’m 5’7” 145lbs and normally take a 36 in tops. I have a 5’10” wingspan and the sleeves are still long hah.

Also I live in the US Pacific Northwest so it never gets THAT cold where I need to layer much.
