I recently got a canon EF 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 lens, and when i press the shutter button nothing happens, it seems as if it’s trying to autofocus despite being in MF Mode. Help?

EDIT: You guys are saying it’s the adapter, which is prob true it was the first $30 one from amazon. For anyone else with this issue, click Menu, go to the orange camera icon, and enable “Release shutter w/o lens”.
