Hello! I'm 19 yo and I just went to mass today since I was interested in converting to Catholicism. After doing my research about the faith on my own I came to the conclusion that Catholicism is right for me and my parents (Protestant) don't agree with it one bit. I told them that Catholics don't worship Mary and the Saints, and instead they venerate and honor them. But they wouldn't listen to me, or they would just shut me down. I'm now awaiting punishment after going on my own to the church on foot for Sunday mass. But I feel blessed despite this because I want nothing more than to serve the Lord accordingly.
