Hi all! As per title, I'm looking for an independent vet recommendation. We've been with Village Vet for nearly 10 years now and we've always been happy with the team and their care for our pets. However, their prices have gone through the roof in the past ~2 years. For comparison, we had take our dog to two different vets in Chelsea last week (one of them was out of hours emergency appointment) and both charged less for services and medication!

We find the fact that Mars owns Village Vet also rather motivating to switch.

We're based in West Ealing. I've checked The Avenue Vet and Alcombe Vets but they are also owned by corporations.

Could anyone recommend a good vet practice that isn't? Thanks in advance!

I love my Magic 8 Pro, especially how crisp pics of moving objects are! But I despise all the Google spyware and want to get rid of it. I know I can disable or remove it via Shizuku or ADB but it could break certain functions. So my question is, is there anyone in the UK/EU using the Chinese version? Do you have any issues with third party apps? Banking apps? Any other apps you've discovered not working?

I don't use Android Auto or eSIM. If I need to use AI, I do it through a browser so YoYo being in Chinese isn't really a concern.

Is there any drawbacks to using the Chinese version at all?
