I love the diversity of the Arty-Facts DLC

It blends so well with the other themes, like the marine life and the Wetlantean exhibits! Just wish I could get more "fish-themed" original artworks... only got the two so far!

Oh, and the Great Wave off Hogsport is easily my favourite famous artwork too. What's everyone else's favourite?!

Building outdoor botany spaces make a world of difference

I may have gone overboard with the volume of plants in this build, but I love how much it makes the spaces pop!! Plus, who doesn't love a good flowerbed?!

Combining art exhibits with marine life

I've been trying to get more original paintings and sculptures of the marine life lately - because they're SO great - and thought it would be nice to create a space that combined the two themes.

Naturally, a few of the Wetlantean exhibits work nicely here... alongside the new sushi restaurant from the Dave the Diver Digiverse rift! Really happy with how this section turned out... all I need now are a few more paintings of fish!!

Creating a frozen archaeological dig site in Pointy Mountains

The massive tents that are available when you first load up the map are really great decorative assets... to the point where you can literally have exhibits and decorations overlapping it to give it that "excavation" sorta vibe.

So when I found that out, I just knew I had to create a frozen ancient city that's slowly being excavated by the Department of Culture!

I recreated Alcatraz Prison inside Two Point Museum!

I wanted to push the creative limits of what's possible within a museum game and this was the result!! Oh, and there's about 1,000 plants/botany decorations placed on this map... yeah.

Honestly, this was such an interesting and wild challenge to take on, which resulted in faithfully recreating (as much as physically possible within the limits of Two Point Museum) one of the most famous prisons in the world! If you want to see how the build came together, you can check out the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuDoVPNILJ0

The video includes reference photos that helped shape the build itself.

Happy Birthday to the Fantasy Finds DLC!

Today marks the one year anniversary of Two Point Museum's first DLC, Fantasy Finds!! To me, it's definitely a theme - and a DLC - I constantly keep going back to, as there is just SO much potential with it!

To mark the occasion, here's a few shots of my favourite fantasy builds over the last year; from a fairy-tale market to a full-blown fantasy museum!!

Thanks to Two Point Studios for such an awesome (and unsung?!) DLC! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ Keen to hear everyone else's thoughts about this DLC though!? Where does it rank for you...? Surely it's in your top three? 🀣

I built an alien temple in my museum!

Been wanting to combine space and prehistory properly, so I decided to create a lil space "temple", like it's something out of Prometheus πŸ˜…

It also meant I could activate the prehistory mysteries, get some of those sweet hidden decorations from the ancient altar and welcome in some cavepeople guests to the museum! Lots of secrets hiding in this one lil area and it was fun to get creative with it!

Who else loves the hidden decorations though?! I definitely need to use them more!

Adding supernatural and fantasy exhibits to my art museum

Had a lot of fun building out a new building of my art museum!

I created a supernatural section that included a haunted hallway and a library (featuring Margaret Fitzpocket and a Twilight Zone-inspired 2D section oozing its way into TPC)... and then a fantasy museum section, where I tried to add decorations to feel like other exhibits (e.g. the pots) to really try and sell that past civilisation vibe.

And yes, the Gold star decal is used throughout these sections because I'll be damned if I'm about to clutter the artworks with too many decorations hahah πŸ˜‚

Arts & Science go really well together

Happy Friday all! πŸŽ‰

So, two themes that I didn't think would necessarily work together, but absolutely do, are art and science. So, I decided to build a museum in Two Point Museum based around one central idea: that art and science have ALWAYS worked hand-in-hand (with some blending of other themes to help spice it up even further)! πŸ˜„

This was a lot of fun to build and come up with a whole story behind it; with four separate museum wings that tie it all together. I even created my own in-universe museum promotional film, that better explores the exhibits, themes, and design choices behind "The Two Point Gallery of Innovation."

You can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ucy8ykRJ_Y

Question is.... what themes do you think might NOT blend?! (And let's work out how to get them to 🀣)

My current Arty-Facts museum build

Still very much a WIP but leaning more into the "gallery" vibes with this build!

Trying to blend the different themes with this build where I can too... next up is blending the supernatural and the fantasy themes at this museum πŸ‘€ Any suggestions on what you think works well, let me know!!

I built a spaceship in Two Point Museum

I've been wanting to do more creative builds in Two Point Museum, so thought I'd try my hand at creating an immersive museum idea... with a story around a deep space research vessel off exploring, documenting and collecting alien flora and fauna. i.e. a spaceship!

There's a blend of several themes going on here, including space (obviously), science, botany and even supernatural!

This was actually a lot of fun to build and to just come up with something different... and for those Star Wars fans here, yes, it's based on the Clone Wars Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser πŸ˜…

I've actually put together a fun lil video showcasing more of this build for anyone who is interested in seeing more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJn3ZZSeM-8

Clearly waiting for Batman to become a VIP guest...

Just sorting through my original artworks and there's just so. Many. Bats.

My guess: the artists know Batman is coming to visit, so they're simply just being prepared.... Batman does love prep time....

A few shots of my Memento Mile mega museum... before it's deleted...

Thought I'd share one final update - and a few of my favourite shots - of my Memento Mile mega museum!

It's been a wild ride, and thank you, the community, for the feedback and input over the last 6 months to help shape this build... But like all good things, it must come to an end! πŸ˜“

Which is why I'm finally deleting it... But not without sending it off in style πŸ‘€ I had a lot of fun putting together a video featuring this museum that drops this Friday.

I promise it's very different to anything else I've done before, but really showcases this museum in all its glory! (Eww, selfish plug haha) πŸ˜…

With the full DLC arriving tomorrow (YAY!), thought I'd just share that the Angry Birds decor really works alongside the Arty-Facts exhibits! You can even combine, placing them close together to create a "modern art" installation too.

Thought I'd share, as I had struggled to use these decorations before, but now... I feel like they're my go-to decoration item that add a touch of class haha!
