My father was a Buddhist, and I'd like to have a small statue of the Buddha made with his ashes to put in the garden. I didn't think it would be hard to find someone who does that but I've been searching and coming up empty. Seems like mixing the remains with resin or clay or cement to create a statue would be pretty straightforward. Is this not a thing that's done?
