The cost of selling on eBay (fees + sales tax): higher than on poshmark ?

I hadn't sold online in a while. I was always under the impression eBay was cheaper than Poshmark for clothing.

I just sold a shirt on eBay for 39$. Turns out eBay took a total of 10,12$ in fees. 8,80$ on the price of the item+shipping+sales taxes + 1,32$ of sales taxes I pay on the 8,80$ ...

I'm in Quebec so sales taxes are right around 15%. So as I'm reading it, I'm paying a bit more than 20% just to eBay on the price of my item, but over 25% if you include the taxes I'm paying for their service fee.

Am I understanding this correctly ? Poshmark has a flat 20%, but I don't remember paying sales taxes on their fees ...

Does anyone know this brand (Cafeina footwear)

Just picked this pair up at the thrift, felt like amazing quality material and construction but not hint of what brand it was. Just about my size so I was happy to pick them up (even though I already have another out of nice winter boots 😅.

After much analyzing I’m pretty sure it’s from Cafeina footwear, which seems like they closed up shop around 2016 as their social networks have no activity after that and their website is down.

Can anyone who know of the brand confirm ? If so, what is there to know about these boots ? Any insight is appreciated !

Thrift find

Thrifting over in Montreal, Quebec I knew nothing of this brand. Found it in the racks with suits and blazers and initially thought it was just a rain jacket. But feeling to the touch felt like quality so I looked it up on eBay and realized I had struck gold. Certilogo QR code says its authentic too.

Needless to say, I’ll be on the lookout for that stone island patch in the future ! This jacket is pretty much my size, so a great addition to the closet. Pretty stoked

Any insight into what this could be worth is also appreciated. I see the exact jacket, color and all, with an asking price of 3,7k CAD on eBay, which is surely a mistake as I can find it on the stone island website for 1650$ CAD.

Couldn’t find only other tag, materials or size. Only tag is the one picture on the collar.

I will say the material feels silky smooth. Might be cashmere ?
