Scratchbuilt ball tank inspired by the IS-8 Ball from world of tanks

My very first fully scratchbuilt vehicle, it is inspired by the IS-8 from the WOT "conquer the moon" event and the painting was inspired by classic Maschinenkrieger models. The model itself was built from a christman ornament ball, some ping pong balls, plastic sheet, some garage furniture and spare parts from other model kits. The figure is from tamiya with a himemade gas mask. It was a very fun project and a nice experiment for some potential future, more complex kitbashes. I am currently writing some basic Lore and background for this vehicle.

I always wanted to get a studio scale X-wing, but it's faaaaaar too expensive for my means, so I decided to take the discount route and turn an incomplete hasbro hero X-wing into a bargain basement studio X-wing. As apparently hasbro toys have some very good proportions and screen accurate details. so far I thickened the wings with cardboard and plastic sheets, I detailed up the gun mount with some scraps, I replaced the rubbery gun barrels with alumium and wood ones and added a few random gribblies on the different engine and engineering sections. It's far from done, but I think this should turn out as a great display piece once finished.
