Two Budgies and One Brain Cell

Hi everyone! On July 4th I took in two rescued budgies from my husband’s friend. It’s been about two weeks now, and I’m trying to build their trust.
I remember from my teenage years that baby budgies are much easier to tame because they haven’t learned fear yet. My old ones were all over my hands and shoulders within a couple of weeks! These two seem to be around 3-4 months old, so I’m hopeful, but they’re still pretty scared of me.
I talk to them every day and have their cage in my bedroom so they can get used to my presence and voice. I’d love some advice on the best next steps for taming at this age. Any tips, routines, or things that worked well for you?
Thanks in advance!
My budgies have been dropping a lot of tiny feathers and a few longer ones lately. Is this a sign that they're molting? They also help each other this way.
She does this clicking (continuously) when I'm speaking to her or sitting next to her. What does it mean?
He's over-all playful, curious, eats well, drinks his water, preens and helps his friend preen too! He does it once or twice a day.
I'm looking for information on where to find pellets! And those of you who have them as pets, how have you been caring for their diet and nutrition?
Hi everyone! I just got a pair of budgies today from my husband’s friend, who wasn’t caring for them properly. They were on a basic seed mix (I learnt that it's too fatty for them) and kept in a very small cage housed in their bathroom too keep them away from their cat. Sadly, they originally had four budgies, but the other two were attacked by the family cat, so they decided to rehome the remaining two.
I had budgies as a teenager but had to rehome them when I moved countries. Now I finally have the chance to care for them again as companions, and I’ve been reading the wiki and everything I can find on proper budgie care.
I’d really appreciate help with a few things:
I think both are males. Could you help confirm their sex and give an estimate of their ages based on the photos?
Can I keep them in my bedroom? My husband’s uncle lives with us, so it would be inconvenient to have the cage in a shared space.
Their current cage is obviously small. I’d like to upgrade them to a bigger one. When is the best time to do this, and how should I go about the transition?
Pellets aren’t available where I live. I’m planning to give them a diet of quality seeds that have added nutrients/supplements, plenty of fresh veggies, cuttlebone, and a mineral block.
Any tips or adjustments I should make?
Thank you so much in advance! Any advice is greatly appreciated. 💗
