How do you think Mr. Diavolo betrayed Azrael?
Now that episode 95 has been released, what do you think Davina's father did to betray Azrael and the Angelini family?
From my understanding, Azrael and Mr. Diavolo worked together for years, until Azrael became convinced the Diavolos betrayed him. Eva claims she doesn't know anything other than Azrael finding evidence at a party he attended. Talk about a Spanish mafia was revealed, and with Breixo being Galician this would make sense over how he knows Davina's true identity and that someone in Gabriel's team is her blood, which is strongly hinted to be Nico.
Mr. Diavolo apparently got into bed with the Angelinis rivals for reasons unknown. Azrael became incensed and couldn't disobey disloyalty, so he marked every made Diavolo for death the night and didn't stop at Davina's parents, he wiped out her entire bloodline, following her cousin and his mother and the extended family a week after the fire on her home. Neither of the families benefited from the feud which doesn't add up for Eva.
Months later Azrael was killed, and it's strongly suggested this happened in an explosion back when Breixo brought it up to Gabriel. Who do we think killed Azrael? I feel it's too obvious to be his brother and the current Don Raphael, but maybe that's exactly what the narrative is trying to tell us. One thing we know, Azrael was just as or even more brutal than Raphael, and he had many enemies.
The other burning question is do you think Gabriel had any part of knowledge in all of this, given his father was the original Don of the Venetian mafia? Or do you think he is completely oblivious to the blood feud?
