Driver's license in BC
Full UK license for less than a month
Sorry if this is not the place to post this I just can't find any info...
Hey everyone, I wasn't sure who to ask as I'm getting confused online.
I'm British, moving to Canada soon with an IEC visa.
I got my full manual UK driver's license a month ago and it seems like I can't drive in BC because I haven't held my license for 2 years.
I just don't understand the whole swapping for a graduate license and the restrictions are confusing.
My job stipulates that I need to be able to drive on my own, so I'm a bit worried about all this. Do I need to pass another test? The waiting times look so long in BC as well and I don't think I would have time or money to do enough driving lessons to reach the threshold for their graduate programme.
Does anyone know what the rules are exactly? I'm finding hard to contact the ICBC...
