Fpv upgrade route

Hello everyone,

I’m fairly new to FPV. I started with an Aquila20 HD kit to learn the basics, and recently picked up a Meteor75 Pro P1 (BETAFPV VR04 HD compatible). I’m still in the learning phase and practicing indoor flying.

While I improve, I’m also trying to understand a sensible upgrade path for the future.

Right now I’m considering two possible directions:

  1. DJI ecosystem route

Move to DJI goggles (Goggles 3) and eventually fly DJI-compatible drones.

  1. HDZero / mixed system route

Go with HDZero goggles (possibly with analog support) and build a more flexible setup that can also work with my current drones using external receivers/VTX solutions.

I’m based in Dubai, so availability and pricing for DJI gear locally is also a factor for me.

My main question is:

Is it still worth committing to the DJI ecosystem for FPV in 2026, or is a more open/multi-system setup like HDZero the better long-term choice for flexibility?

Also, if anyone knows of FPV communities or groups in Dubai/UAE, I’d really appreciate the info.
