Failed to Finish Ramp Test

I tried my first FTP test on Rouvy and it ended in tears 😆.
At first I thought it looked easy and was almost tempted to increase the difficulty. But it soon became apparent I was not good enough.
I fell apart in the last minute in the red zone. My legs revolted and the lungs filed a restraining order. I never got to experience the pink zone.
Has anyone else been humbled this fast by the ramp test?

Does Bevel AI by default encourage a lazy lifestyle?

I need to get this off my chest.

Back in school in Uganda, I played amateur football. Our training was brutal. Twice a day, every day. Every morning started with a 10km run into the hills. No excuses. We were physically strong, lean, and could play a full 90 minutes without gasping for air. That was just the standard.

Obviously, I'm older now and lost some of that peak fitness. But whenever I get back into "the zone," I revert to that old-school mentality. Train hard today, easy tomorrow. Rest? The "easy day" is my rest. If I feel great, why wouldn't I go for a 5km run?

But here's the problem: I'm using Bevel AI for health tracking, and it keeps yelling at me to skip days. It tells me I'm "following my ego, not science." It actively discourages me from training back-to-back.

This makes me wonder: Why are these LLMs so determined to push a one-size-fits-all narrative?

I get the science of overtraining. I know about cortisol and fatigue. But if my legs feel fresh and my mind is fired up, why is the AI telling me I'm risking "maxing out" by doing a simple 5k? If I feel tired, I’d naturally rest.

It feels like these bots are programmed to assume we're all fragile. They resort to the lowest common denominator, mediocrity, because they have to cater to the average person who can't handle volume.

Does anyone else feel like fitness AI is gaslighting you into being lazy? Or am I just an old-school hardhead who refuses to accept that the "easy day" should actually mean "do nothing"?

I'm not trying to be a pro again. I just want to move. If I feel great, what's the real harm in going out there?

Who is paying €5000 for these AC units in Ireland?

Before the heatwave Midea’s Portasplit Air Conditioning unit was retailing at about €900. Amazon lists them for €5000 now!
Imagine splashing on this and normal weather returns next week before the unit gets delivered!

Getting started on Rouvy

Cancelled iFIT and bought Wahoo Kickr and hoping to get started on Rouvy. I did almost all the challenging stuff on iFIT and felt l was not improving. IFIT felt more like an entertainment platform and was no longer challenging. Hopefully Rouvy will give me the chance to explore and get fit.
Any former iFIT users here?

Apple Watch wristband stuck

I bought a leather watch strap from a Chinese shop. It looks good but after a year of use, it now can’t get off my watch. 😆
The pin to release won’t budge. Not sure what to do. Will probably visit a repair shop and see if they can sort me out!
Makes me fearful of these replacements straps, yet apple’s watch straps are just too boring!

Deleted Bevel app

I finally deleted Bevel. At the start it seems interesting and I was getting tempted to give their pro version a chance. But the app kept giving me a poor sleep score/your body is not recovered even when I would sleep 9hours getting a high score on apple. Bevel was bringing a negative energy source. An app should not tell say your body needs recovery when you’ve rested for days and you are feeling good and ready to let rip!
I don’t miss it one bit!
