Gas tank options/solutions

Cross posted from FB group just to get more answers

Need some options
Just heard back from the shop about my car. The power steering belt being caught up in my harmonic balancer did cause it to jump time about 5 teeth. Was recommended to replace the belt since it got frayed with the other belt getting caught up in there. Now we did find the issue with my injectors. The gas tank has rust, so it needs to be replaced because the rust is getting past the fuel filter and clogging them back up. Where can I go about a replacement gas tank, my mechanic said he took a look about and could not find a solid option for one, is there any aftermarket tanks I could look into getting, or am I going to have to bite the bullet and try a used one?
(Edit: I am aware of a good possibility of bent valves, that’s on the list to have my mechanic check tomorrow when I call back with info.)

Back at it again car being in the shop.

For context, had my car in the shop a few weeks back, 2 injectors had failed, got 6 remanufactured put in, changed fuel filter again, called it a day, sounded a lot better and felt the proper power. Well right before I took my 9 hour one way trip, it started sounding like it was misfiring again, so he told me to bring it back when I got back to take a look at it again. Fast forward to after the trip, came back, and was having power steering issues, noticed my power steering reservoir was empty, assumed a leak somewhere, filled it up and was planning on going investigating this last weekend. Found out Thursday night, my power steering belt had shredded, so I went to go get another one, and my car stalled and wouldn’t start back up, so I had it towed back to said shop. Now to my main point/concern. Talked to them today, and apparently my power steering belt did not shred and fall out, it’s wrapped up in my harmonic balancer according to them. What could I possibly be looking at for repair wise with something like this/what possible damage could it have caused? If I have to do major engine repair, I’ll probably go ahead and source one, and just have a swap out done, that way I can go over said engine before it goes back in.

Air intake, valve cover, plus dress up

(Sorry it’s not the best photo of entire over
View, but it’s currently pouring down raining so can’t take another till later) Wanting to look into a decent upgraded air intake, so looking for suggestions on that, along with any suggestions on where I can grab a valve cover that I can strip and paint myself, plus any other suggestions on what I could do to dress up/cleanup the engine bay, because it also seems to be a mess of wires I don’t normally see in the way of working on stuff with other people. TIA

Needing help! Not sure what to do

Good evening all, I come here in hopes that I can find a solution temporarily. Me and my gf who just moved in a month ago are currently renting a room with my friend and his parents. Now, this house is a decently old house, and the walls, have no insulation in them, as found out by a previous accident of a hole in a wall. Now my gf in the past has worked overnight/evening shifts and sleeps throughout the day, and currently during the summer, till september, both parents have kids from their previous marriages for duration of summer. They’re around the ages of 10-12 average. They are particularly loud, even though they have been told that there are people who sleep throughout the day or for a good part of the day, and when they’re roughhousing around (both parents work during the day) it gets pretty loud and tends to wake her up. I come here looking for a possible solution to silence a good part of the noise coming into the room. I’m looking at a door sweep already for the door as there is a gap, but not sure what else I can do to help, additionally the room is decently small so there’s not much room to add, say a bookshelf or something. If you have any suggestions I can look into it would be greatly appreciated, TIA!

Starting off

As my girlfriend told me that this isn’t really a beginner friendly game, does it look like I’m doing somewhat decent so far? She’s been helpful getting me the map opened up while I’m at work, and so far I’ve pulled 3x on lohens banner and only got mika. Also beginning to realize how grindy this gacha game is, especially with leveling materials. (Mika is the only character I have that’s not showing the list.)

Possible new issue unsure, help!

Was taking my fiance home, and noticed that it seemed like I had little power, and that it was revving a little bit high to shift gears, from a stoplight after going it reverse to like 2.5k, then shifted. Sounded like it was puttering along, and I got to the house to put it in the backyard to take a look after it cools off, noticed something smelled burnt. Not really too sure what to take a look at but any advice helps, TIA

Unknown issue, Help!

Howdy all, having an issue with my friends dads 06 dts, the other day he called me up to the bar, because he said the ac stopped working, check engine light came on, and the car was running hot. It pulled these codes - p0036, p0102, p0412, p0418, p0480, p0481, and p0645
Fast forward to today, we changed one of the ac relays under the hood, went to crank it, it cranks and starts for a second then falls on its face. I just also swapped the maf sensor, and going to pull codes again right now. Anyone have an idea to what may be the culprit here? TIA

Rotors/pads

Doing the front brakes on my 98 SL. Is it fine to just get the duralast brakes+rotors or should I avoid? Also anything else I should do at the same time? TIA

Squeaking noise on driver front wheel

Just started noticing, sounds like a very high pitched metallic sound/ squealing noise as I’m driving. What would be first thing to check?
(Edit - 98 SL for those who need to know sorry was made in a jiffy)

So now that my alternator is done, and with me getting my issue solved with brake booster hoses plus various etc things, next on the major to do list is my exhaust leak. I know from somewhere else I’ve posted about it, people say they hear a misfire. My thing is, I don’t know what I should check first to find the cause of the leak, and I honestly am not too comfortable about carrying it to a shop/ don’t really want to spend a bunch at a shop. What should be my list to go down for checking this out?

Forgot about this as well. Was looking into seeing what options I have for replacing the driver side and passenger side 2 piece splash shields? I talked to Mitsubishidirect parts down in Daytona, and was told only one piece of the 2 on the passenger side were even available, with only 2 being in the entire country. I know the ones off eBay are gonna be in similar condition to mine, so I was curious as to see if maybe a company had come out with some aftermarket options, or maybe someone had a bright idea to fab some up?

After dealing with the headache of the alternator this weekend, im about to tackle my next headache which was previously attempted, bank 2,4, and 6 sparks. I tried last weekend, but could not get some of the hoses off the nipples even after removing the clamp holding it. Tried getting a flathead under them and it still wouldn’t budge, so I’m assuming, that any more pressure is going to break them, so I wanna go ahead and get replacements ahead of time. I’m assuming the main one is the brake booster, but I’m not sure if there’s any others. Also since I’m removing that intake plenum, is there anything else I should do at the same time? TIA
