Which would be a smart purchase for the long haul: a 2012–2017 4Runner with over 100,000 miles, or a 2021 (or newer) RAV4 XLE—preferably a hybrid, if possible? The hybrid option depends on the price, which would undoubtedly be higher than that of the 4Runner. My budget is $22,000, but I realize that if I opt for the RAV4, I would be taking on a debt of over $29,000. What do you recommend?
