Opponent began showdown and used cleave twice to give it +6 might.

9 might vs 13 might

Used akali's ability returned to base and readied

Began a 2nd showdown and gave to unit another +6 might with the previous two cleave spells used.

So are cleaves not used for a specific showdown? Or is it all showdowns in a turn?

Does the ability exert the opponents character and so they have to wait another turn to use the character? For example I choose to exert one of their drying characters they can't use the character for another turn?
