I'm not here to brag. This isn't how I wanted to become what in my eyes is wealthy. I'm under 40, make 150-200k a year and both of my parents have passed. Most recently my father who left me more than a large sum of money and a property that is worth almost 7 figures. With what I have saved over the last few years I will have over 1m in my portfolio of retirement accounts. I use to be very money driven and all I did was work. Now I just miss my family. Part of me says don't let off the gas. Another says I need to start enjoying life. Anyone else in this type of situation? Can I let up? Not married, no kids and neither is really in the future. My only debt is two homes. I figure I am just going to use my income to pay them off and not touch my other accounts until I "retire."
