California BRN deficiency clarification
Hi everyone,
I am an international nursing graduate from the Philippines applying for NCLEX through the California BRN.
My Breeze account shows that the BRN already received my official transcript and the Breakdown of Educational Program for International Nursing Programs form submitted by my school. However, I recently received a deficiency notice asking for additional clarification, including: • Whether theoretical coursework and clinical practice were completed concurrently during the same academic terms/semesters • Whether any theoretical courses were delivered online, through distance education, or telehealth • Whether any clinical hours were completed through simulation, virtual clinical experiences, telehealth observations, or laboratory-based simulations instead of direct patient care • Copies of academic calendars • Total direct in-person hospital clinical hours for Medical-Surgical, Obstetric/Maternity, Pediatric, and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing • A detailed breakdown of online theory, telehealth/virtual clinical observations, laboratory/simulation practice, and direct in-person clinical practice
My question is: since my school already submitted the Breakdown of Educational Program form with my transcript, should I simply send this deficiency list to my school’s registrar/dean and ask them to provide the requested clarifications directly to the California BRN? Or is there another official California BRN form that my school needs to complete for these clarifications?
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who experienced the same deficiency request. Thank you!
