Curious if the grind of med school, internship, and residency changed your views on parenthood. Did you always want kids, or did the burnout and lifestyle shift your mindset?

Mine was nag auscultate ako sa patient for almost a minute, tapos nagtaka ako bakit wala akong marinig. Nasa leeg ko pa pala yung steth hindi ko pala sinuot sa tenga hahaha

Planning to apply for Ortho residency in the future and gusto ko sana ma-maximize yung preparation ko before applications.

For the current residents and consultants:

• Ano-ano yung mga bagay na nakatulong para maging mas competitive yung CV niyo?
• How did you strengthen your anatomy foundation before residency?
• If you could go back before applying, ano yung mga bagay na sana mas maaga niyong ginawa?

I currently don’t have a TIN or SSS yet, so I wanted to ask:

1. For TIN — should I apply on my own now, or will the hospital handle it once I start residency?

• If ever I apply for TIN myself, should I register as self-employed or professional? (especially if I might do moonlighting on the side)If I might do moonlighting on the side, should I register as self-employed/professional already?

2. For SSS — is it correct that I just apply for an “SS Number online” first, or should I wait until I’m employed?

Would really appreciate advice from doctors or anyone who went through the same process. Thank you!
