Well, I was on my way to my 2nd Radiation session only to receive a voicemail that the machine is down and might be down tomorrow too. Has this ever happened to anyone else before?? I’m kind of freaking out, because I know the treatments are supposed to be consecutive. I just spoke with one of the receptionists at the clinic and she didn’t seem too concerned about it and said “these things do happen”. I swear, if it’s not one thing it’s another!

Hey ladies. How long did you continue to wear your bra 24/7 after your surgery? I’m almost 4 weeks post op and I’d like to try and sleep tonight without my compression bra. But I want to be safe too.

So I’m 9 days post op after my lumpectomy and I’m feeling zingers now in my left breast. Is that normal? My left arm is also feeling very heavy. Beginnings of lymphedema maybe? I haven’t started doing my stretches yet because I was trying to wait before I raised my arm, but I’m thinking I should probably start. Other than that, I feel pretty good for the most part. Still awaiting pathology results to see if they got clear margins.

So I’m 3 days post op and find myself stressing about what my pathology will be. I also have to wait and see if I need to go in for Surgery #2, in case the surgeon didn’t get clear margins. I feel like I can’t let myself relax at all between now and then. If I have to end up having a 2nd surgery, that means even more time off work than I’d originally planned. I’m supposed to be focusing on recovering right now, but I’m worried sick. My surgeon already told me that with lumpectomies, there’s a strong chance she won’t get clear margins in the first try. The thought of having to go back to the hospital to get this done again in two weeks is nerve wracking.

Hi girls. So I had my lumpectomy/sentinel node biopsy this morning and it went well. I’m in pain, but it’s not unbearable and I just took an Oxycodone pill. My question is about my drain. I’m about to empty it and it looks like the drain is already clogged from this morning so I need to strip it. My question is do I strip it now before I empty it, or afterwards. I’m looking at the instructions and the way they’re written, it doesn’t indicate that. I don’t want to screw this up on day one and my doctors office is closed for the evening:

It’s been almost a month and a half and I still haven’t shared my diagnosis with my immediate family yet. Honestly, I’ve been too busy with endless doctors appointments and emotional exhaustion to even deal with it. I’ve had ample opportunity to share but every-time I pick up the phone to call them, I chicken out. I was thinking of just sharing the information in a group chat. I know it’ll be followed up with phone calls and I’m okay with that. But the thought of picking up the phone and telling them makes me sick. What do you think? Just looking for opinions and support.

Well, I have my new surgery date. August 19th. Almost two months after my diagnosis. How long did some of you wait between diagnosis and surgery date? I believe I’m to start radiation 6 weeks after surgery. I haven’t even started yet and I’m already drained and exhausted. Anyone else feel this way before surgery?

It’s been two weeks since I received my diagnosis. Right now my mind is racing. My surgery date was postponed because I decided to get a reduction along with my lumpectomy. Originally, my surgery date was supposed to be on 7/22. Now, I’m not sure when it’ll be. I have a consultation with the plastic surgeon on 7/20 and then they have to coordinate a joint OR date and let me know.

My husband is upset that I changed my surgery date and doesn’t understand why I want to wait any longer than I have to, to get the surgery. I tried to explain to him that I already discussed that concern with my breast surgeon and she was fine with it, but he’s still upset.

On top of everything else, I’m in the process of looking for a new car because my car was totaled 3 weeks ago. Normally, shopping for a new car wouldn’t cause me this amount of stress but on top of everything else I’m dealing with, it’s just too much.

Now, I’m starting to wonder if I made a mistake requesting a reduction/lift and if I should’ve just kept my original surgery date. My breast surgeon is on vacation for a week so unfortunately I can’t discuss this with her right now.

Anyone else ever have any doubts or regrets about something similar? Having to make so many critical health decisions in just a matter of two weeks is starting to take a toll on my mental health and I haven’t even started the process of surgery/treatment yet.

Hello, I just found out this morning that I have breast cancer. Went in for a routine mammogram two weeks ago, an abnormality showed up (which has never happened). Then, went in for an ultrasound and an additional mammogram one week later. At that time, the radiologist recommended a biopsy which I completed last Thursday. I was actually at the BMV this morning when I got my results. I’m not really sure how to feel right now. I’m waiting to hear back from my care team on what the next steps will be. Any advice would be appreciated at this time.

Seriously? He went from being one of the most interesting people in the show to a fucking goofball! He literally just got out of jail for a murder he didn’t commit, then happily goes along with Tiff when she decides to murder Nuck AND helps her hide the body? Where is his common sense right now? Have the writers just decided to be done with his character. Then, he seems like he MIGHT still have feelings for Fatima, but he’s beholden to Tiff at the same time. This show is just going from bad to worse, but I’m going to finish it. SMDH
