New wave Hungarian stuffed peppers
New wave Hungarian stuffed peppers. The minced meat is mixed with pearl barley instead of rice, then loaded into the peppers and baked in the oven. The tomato sauce is made of cooked tomatos which you then mix with a mixer to be even, flavored with rosemary, thyme, basil and oregano. It's a less sweet, lighter, more mediterranean tasting version of stuffed peppers. Used all home-grown ingredients except for the meat and barley.
