Hi, I'm trying to set up a speech and debate team at my school. We were too late to sign up for tournaments and so we're using this year to focus on getting used to how to actually form a debate.
None of the members have ever been in a debate tournament or team so in asking for advice.
What should we go over? What formats? What meeting ideas to get us ready for next year?
I’m from the US and apparently 2-on-2 format is what’s used most during tournaments?
