Masters degree

Good afternoon,

I talked to the admission office today (about getting a bachelors in information technology) and they advised me since I already have a bachelors in communications I can go right to a masters in IT. It seems very odd to me as I would skip all the bachelors course and go right to the masters one and feel completely left behind. I looked at the courses in the bachleours section and I dont have a ton of knowledge about those. Does anybody else do that as it seems like I would be missing out on alot of information.

Upgrading oled montior

I currently have a samsung 32inch 4k oled montior ( g80sd). Im curious if there is such an upgrade for me. Yes you can always go up im screen size. Just curious if ultrawide is a good idea or a newer oled monitor as I purchased this one in nov of 2024. No idea if the technology has improved at all.

My story and the ups and downs

On December 8th 2025 I had a l4-l5/s1 fusion due to pars 5 bilateral defect/spondylosis. Since I was about 14 a go-cart ran in the back of my row when we were waiting for everybody to finish the race. Since then I've always had low back pain with burning sensation. I dont remember what tests they ran then, but it never stopped me from doing anything.

Around may of 2025 I start getting more flare ups, but this time right in my spine. After a month of it I finally got an mri and got my diagnosis. The first spine surgeon said your fine, do some excersies (I've done pt multiple times thorugh my life and it didn't help). He finally said he can give me a shot in my spine which didn't help. Went to a pain management doctor who gave me a different shot in my spine which didn't help. He lastly tried to num the nerves in the area. No luck. Now my pain is getting worse in my back (burning, sharp shooting pains), it's now going to both my legs (numbness, tingling). I ask my regular doctor for a 2nd opinion because I didn't like the first one.

I wait a month and he tells me the disk is bulging at l5-s1 and l4 is also, but not as bad. We do a emg and he only sees the issue at l5-s1 and barely on l4. My doctor tells me surgeon is my last option, but he's clear it's possible it helps, hurts or doesn't change anything.

I do the surgeon and my leg pain that was there is gone, but of course my surgical site hurts so I can't tell if thats better. With all my check ups my surgeon says it looks good, no signs of a failed fusion and I'm healing well. I took the good pain meds for about a month, gabapentin for some time on and off. Each week/month feels like a different story. Each day has different levels of pain and it's different then prior to surgery. My butt to my thighs ache on and off. If you twist and turn the way your body doesnt want, your in trouble. My surgical site still hurts, but the area of pain has shrunk.

Its so hard to tell if my body is doing well or not. Getting out of bed/turning (i still sleeping between 2 pillows with one between my legs), can be very challenging especially if anything weight is on my chest prior (cat, my wife's arm if she is next to me).

I still can't run. I can fast walk to a degree. Being 6 and half months out I'm not sure what the final end game is. I know the process can take a good year. I had foot surgery 3 years ago and it was the same for that as well. I walk as much as I can. I have 4 kids so I try to be active. I hope things continue to improve, but only time will tell.

Company that search you

I always get emails for individuals that searched me, but also the company. Ive seen about 20 or so different company "look" at my profile. Im curious does it mean anything in the grand scheme of things. If I never get any messages from them does that mean something, or is it just people looking around to see who's in the market. I like the information because then I can see how's viewed my profile. As a side note the companies I see are not ones I'm currently applying for.

I have had a samsung s10 with a cheap wired earbuds. I've also used the cheap wired pair that apple use to add with there devices. They fit nice for me and are comfortable for long periods of time and don't irrate my ears. I bought a Samsung s26 with the galaxy buds pro and itches my ear with prolonged use. They are superior for sound, bass and fit very well. I prefer the looseness. What do people get in a case like that? I'm not worried about all the top end features as i typically just watch a little tv or YouTube with it.
