It's a gardening account (from India) for gardening beginners, plant lovers or urban gardeners. I am trying hard to improve my reach, but it's not landing well enough.
Current strategy-
Try to keep the video under 30 sec, give care tips (that's the value I think I bring), show certain plant issues. I try to keep the videography "borderline good" so as to attract even the plant aesthetic lovers. I keep the texts minimal.
I'm not sure if my hooks are weak, or if people want to see the videos vlog style or more in a cinematic way (I am not well versed with editing at all).
What I have realised is that people follow aesthetic home vlogs for the "it's beautiful" "dream home" feeling for sure but I am not comfortable showing my home. I also think most people probably will never even start gardening after watching a video (analogy - it's like people who need fitness spending time watching fitness videos but never actually hitting the gym). So what should be my value proposition at this point?
So yeah, keeping all that in mind - can anyone suggest me how to grow my account?
How to make it "save worthy" "watch worthy" and how to hit the "what happens next in the video" vibe?
Does Instagram reset your views and audience if you change your bio? I was getting 1k+ views for the past week (relatively new account, 17 posts so far and about 5 posts archived), then I decided to change my bio to suit my profile better and the views dropped. Seems like reel is not showing to non followers or landing on their reels page anymore. The content is same, but views dropped significantly. I don't know how to reach my target audience.
I am fairly new to content creation (< 15 posts so far). I do not know editing like a pro either (If it helps, think : cropping, adding music, changing font types and basics). What can I do to grow my page from 0 to 1000 followers in a month or two?
My content includes sharing plant information (ranges from sharing details about plants for beginners, from science or information that is not in common knowledge), tips on how/what to grow in different seasons, potting and repotting videos, some are just showing flowers with hooks.
Is it too broad for algorithm to find my target audience? How do I teach the algorithm to find me my target audience? What kind of content format is likely to get people to follow my page?
