Meta employee allegedly abused internal tools on my account. Now I’m blocked from Meta Verified + Support Cases

Hi everyone. I’ve exhausted every official channel. I believe my account is being restricted as retaliation for reporting abuse, and I need help.

Timeline
Unauthorized Access Found: 4 unknown accounts were linked to my Instagram Accounts Center.
Other changes I found:
- Instagram+ subscription was disabled
- Facebook Profile was unlinked and blocked from re-adding
- Advanced Protection was turned OFF. I had it on 2 of my 4 accounts.
- 2FA + selfie protection + 10 year old email + strong password were all active. Login history shows only me. It should be impossible to log in.
Scale: 4 of my OG Instagram accounts were affected. 2M+ followers total.
Reported to Meta: Opened Case and provided evidence.
Went Public: Posted here on Reddit. Post reached Top 1%.
Temporary Fix: For ∼2 days after going public, I could access payment and support again.
Restrictions Returned: Now everything is blocked again.

Current Issues
Cannot purchase Meta Verified: . Tried on 2 accounts, 20+ times. I changed my name to exactly match my government ID and birthday. Still fails. [Screenshot 1]
Blocked from Support Chat: for 24+ hours. [Screenshot 2]
Payment issues: Started at the same time as the unauthorized access.
Account Restrictions: New flags put on my account after I reported this.

For context: I used to get approved for Meta Verified within 1 hour with no issues.

Why I’m concerned
Meta Trust & Safety employees have internal tools that can place flags to block payments, verification, and support access.
The timing is what worries me: restrictions started right after I reported the breach, and got worse after I went public.

I have filed a formal complaint with the EU DSB for potential GDPR violations and data abuse.

What I’m asking
Has anyone else had restrictions placed after reporting internal abuse?
Can Meta please conduct a full audit of Case and confirm in writing that all restrictions/flags have been removed?
Please share this. If internal tools can be misused like this, it can happen to anyone.

Proof: Screenshots attached.

I’m not asking for special treatment. I’m asking for my accounts to be restored to normal and for Meta to confirm that no employee can abuse access like this.

Thank you for reading.

Instagram Messages Restriction Still there after successful Review

my account received a 30 day messaging restriction for "fraud, scams and deceptive practices."
I requested a review immediately, verified email and phone OTP, and the same day at 21:06 IST I received this message: "We removed restrictions from your account. We've found that our technology made a mistake when adding restrictions to your account."
However, Account Status is still showing the old enforcement:

  1. Details page still says "You can't send messages. Ends on 4 Aug 2026"
  2. Account Status home shows "Some of your activity may go against Community Standards"
  3. Orange warning icons remain on
    ○ Removed content and messaging issues
    ○ Features you can't use
(Limits to your reach and Monetisation show green)
I have offloaded and reinstalled the app, logged out and in, and waited over 24 hours. The warning persists. This looks like a sync or display bug after an overturned decision.

It's just unfair

So today when I woke up I opened my insta and it showed me it's been suspended for violating community guidelines, specifically sexualization of kids. Dude, that's a big thing, my whole personality is about liking older women, where did this come From. I appealed but now it's saying it's permanently disabled, I searched online I can't find anything, for the record, I've never liked, commented or even interacted with reels that may sexualize kids, I ain't into that. I wouldn't have cared much for my account tbh I never post, in 4 years I have about 3 posts in total. I just don't wanna lose my chats. Anybody know any way I can get this fixed?

Instagram crashing on iOS 16.7.16 and lower iOS versions. (437.1.0 / 437.0.0)

My specifications :

iPhone X
iOS 16.7.16 (Build 20H392)
App version : 437.1.0 (seems to also be the case on 437.0.0)

Tl;dr : Instagram app crashes because it doesn't support your iOS version. Appstore still installs it anyway which makes it constantly crash as it is trying to launch.

I will go into the details of this bug for those who want to know more about it.

For anyone who is experiencing any issues on this specific Instagram version (many were mentioning this issue on this sub-reddit), the constant crash is happening due to a missing symbol that is not implement on iOS 16 and earlier versions.

The specific symbol (textSelectionDidChange) is expected in VisionKit.framework but due to the app not finding this symbol it will result in a crash.
This symbol has been implemented in iOS 17.0 as a part of the ImageAnalysisInteractionDelegate
protocol.

Usually the Appstore will only allow you to download versions of apps that are fully compatible with your hardware and software but in this case it seems that it installs the latest version of the Instagram app anyway.

Fix :

If you have a jailbroken device then you can simply downgrade to a previous stable Instagram version using the AppStore++ tweak or some other method involving downloading the IPA file dump of an older, if your device is not jailbroken then you might be doomed.

Instagram Username

Hello Reddit, a account was just banned with a username I wanted, I have tried for about 3 days straight to change my username to the account that was banned. But it says it is unavailable. Does anyone know how long it takes for the username to become available? It is a 5 letter username.

General Question About IP

I just wanted to ask would I get banned for using my account in another country that i’m traveling to? I recently recovered my account, so i’m scared i’ll get flagged for using my account outside of my home country.

I’ve never had a IP ban, or any type of serious ban nor am I device banned & I have used my account under public wifi multiple times & nothing happened thankfully.

Please give me a genuine answer & let me know what you think.

IP BAN SOLUTION

After instagram went down i had lost all of my accounts from an IP ban, i tried to make new accounts and they were getting banned instantly, no appeal would work until i done this, for iphone only ( i think )

go into settings -> general scroll down until you see Transfer or rest iphone, press rest all network settings, once it is done reconnect as normal and make a new account.

So far so good, I haven’t lost the account yet, I made a new Email for it also! This might be known by many but I only figured it out and it could help someone else!

will the ban and disable wave stop?

no matter how much I have tried like creating new email, logging and unplugging my wifi, I also refix my wifi to change ip address and lastly tried with vpn but still, a lot of my accounts were either suspended or permanently disable. but, apart from that, I have seen that almost more than 5 million accounts or randomly, either suspended or disabled. Will this ban wave ever stop any time sooner? Will we ever be able to create a new account that never get suspended? cuz people saying the solution is getting new phone, new phone number. It’s not able to a lot of people as the fact that phone numbers are linked to a lot of documents, national IDs and for students, they often connected with their university details and everything and what about those who recently got their phone The phones are not even like a year old, but still they have faced this continuous ban wave where they have lost more than five accounts

incorrect password

the app has started refusing to let me log into my primary account. Every single time I type my exact, 100% correct password, it just shows Incorrect Password
web browsers work perfectly fine with the same password
When I create a new account it logs in but the issue comes back when I logout of that account and try to login the same account again so far I’ve tried
Resetting the phone reinstalling the app using a vpn trying to login in through a link resetting the password network swapping the video selfie thing it works perfectly fine on my mums iPhone what should I do?

My Instagram (265K followers, Meta Verified since 2024) was hacked, recovered, then permanently disabled — need advice/visibility

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here has been through something similar or knows how to escalate this further.

On June 15th, between 8–10 PM, my Instagram account was hacked. When I got home and checked my phone, everything had been changed — my email, phone number, and profile photo were no longer mine.

I've been a Meta Verified (blue tick) subscriber since June 2024, so I contacted Meta support multiple times and opened several cases. After a lot of back and forth, they did manage to recover my login and give me access back.

But shortly after, Instagram disabled my account — and from what I understand, it's because of the unusual activity the hacker caused while they had control. Meta has now told me this is a "final decision", even though:

  • I did nothing wrong
  • They already helped me recover the account, which shows they know it was a hack
  • The suspicious activity was 100% caused by the hacker, not me

This account isn't just numbers to me. I built it from 0 to 265K followers over years of real work, and it holds highlights of family members who have passed away — memories I can't get back if this account is gone for good.

I'm ready to verify my identity, share screenshots of my growth journey, or provide anything else that proves this is genuinely my account and that I've done nothing to violate their policies.

If anyone knows:

  • A way to escalate past the "final decision" appeal
  • A Meta contact who handles Meta Verified subscriber cases specifically
  • Any other channel that's actually worked for someone in a similar situation

I'd really appreciate it. Tagging in case anyone from Meta sees this:

My account: instagram**/Mehrookhalil**
Contact email: Mehrookhalil@gmail.com

Thank you for reading — any help or shared experience means a lot right now.

Will Instagram Ever Fix Its Ban System?

Do you think Instagram will fix its account ban system, or will accounts keep getting suspended like this? What's your opinion?
