Underrated/lesser creature features, infected/virus-based zombies (not slow, supernatural living dead), and killer robot/rogue AI movies/shows?

Looking for any movies that fit this type of style. I feel like I've seen every modern movie like this, the classics, and every decent one in general, but one day I'll randomly come across a new hidden gem, so I'm curious if I'm missing a phew. I specify infected/virus and not just zombie due to stuff like I Am Legend (vampires). The movies don't need to even be gamechangers or the best, but still decent and an enjoyable watch, so top-tier acting, or being cheesy here and there is okay. I also count any movies where maybe these aspects aren't the central focus, but they still show up in quite a phew scenes, this also includes not specially limited to horror movies too, can be action, like Kaiju movies or Attack The Block, Chappie, or heck, even Her. (Also preferably in English or has an English dub available, even if it's not the best, I could care less).

Some games run choppy and also I want to limit how loud it gets (new to computer gaming) Helios Neo 16S AI Gaming Laptop Intel Ultra 9, 5070

I recently bought my first gaming laptop — the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI Gaming Laptop (16" OLED 240Hz, Intel Core Ultra 9, RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) — and I’m honestly pretty new to tweaking PC/laptop settings. I mainly played on Steam Deck before this, so I’m not really used to having to manually adjust performance settings, fan curves, power modes, etc.

I’ve been trying to figure out what I actually need to change in PredatorSense or elsewhere to get games running smoothly without the laptop sounding like a jet engine all the time. I don’t care about max graphics settings at all — in a lot of games I actually prefer medium settings if it means quieter fans and smoother gameplay. My main goal is just to have games run well and be playable without the fans ramping up more than they realistically need to.

One thing that especially confuses me is that some games that seem pretty low-demanding still run weirdly choppy or laggy, even after lowering settings and turning off stuff like V-Sync just to test things. Meanwhile, some more demanding games run completely fine. I can’t really figure out the pattern.

Could the games be launching with the wrong GPU?

Also, I'm not really too familiar with stuff such as CPU the bottlenecking and all of that, if that could be a potential issue.

Here's examples of games that run perfectly fine:

* NieR Replicant * The Surge * Wolfenstein: The New Order * Hades * Neon White * Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night * Nine Sols

Games that are weirdly laggy/choppy (even on medium settings):

* Lies of P * Lords of the Fallen * Ghostwire: Tokyo * GRIME * Possessor(s) * Afterimage * Monster Hunter: World (this one runs better than the others listed here, but still has noticeable lag/stuttering sometimes)

Another thing I noticed is that the laptop gets MUCH louder whenever it’s plugged in and charging while gaming, even with lower-demand games. When it’s unplugged, it’s way quieter. Is that normal behavior for gaming laptops, or is there something I should change in the settings to keep fan noise more reasonable while plugged in? I understand that the laptop power-limits itself when it's not plugged in, but could I maybe change the settings to get it to take it down a notch when it's plugged in? I don't understand why some games like Hades and The other games I mentioned preform almost the same when unplugged, but as soon as it's plugged in, those fans ramp up.

In sort, I'm not looking for: • Ultra graphics. • Benchmark numbers. • Max FPS.

I want: • Smooth gameplay. • Stable frametimes. • Lower noise. • Reasonable temperatures.
