Has anyone seen the French film “Climax” (2018) And did it leave you disturbed like it did me? 👀👀

I really felt this film did so well at making the viewer feel uncomfortable. The escalating of madness throughout this film was executed soooo well! You feel it rise as the film goes on, hoping for some relief just to get more waves of intense scenes.

Can Curry Make Movie Magic Again?

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about whether Curry & Co. can knock it out of the park again with his next movie. Apparently his second film is already in the works (called "Anything But Ghosts") as well as a 3rd untitled project down the line.

As far as "Anything But Ghosts" goes, the cast looks solid, (Aaron Paul and Bryce Dallas Howard just to name a few), and the concept sounds interesting enough. There's not much info on his 3rd project as of yet besides it's being put out via Blumhouse Atomic Monster.

Now, I love Curry and Cooper and have been watching their YT channel for almost a year prior to Obsession coming out. And, like many others, I absolutely loved Obsession. However, when a director makes a debut film that is wildy successful, sometimes it's hard to follow it up with another film that is just as popular and profitable.

I am definitely rooting for him and I very much hope he makes another banger of a movie with "Anything But Ghosts", however I have my doubts. He is young, new to Hollywood, and I just hope he doesnt get in over his head.

I'm scared for Obsession

I watched obsession a bit ago and like many others thought it was amazing, however I'm scared it is too popular for it's own good if you know what I mean. I've already seen a lot of hate for this movie on reddit which to be fair it's reddit people on reddit don't like anything /j but I'm scared people are gonna switch up on the movie and call it trash purely because of its popularity. Hopefully not but I see this happen way more then it should so it isn't out of the realm of possibility.

(btw when im talking about hate I mean it, criticism is perfectly acceptable and should happen)

Obsession Warns Us Against LUST

The latest horror hit, Obsession, has taken the world by storm recently, becoming the highest-grossing horror film in decades. Truly, this horrifying indie-movie has struck a chord with the masses. People are resonating with this film more than anything else in recent memory. And what is Obsession saying that people are connecting with?

Surely, Bear's catastrophic mistake in wishing for the endless love of his high-school crush is a slip-up many of us young men can relate to. Bear tries to force a relationship with the most attractive woman he knows (Nikki), rather than the sweetest and kindest woman he knows (Sarah). And this theme of choosing lust over love is very relevant in today's sex-obsessed society, where pornography and casual hookups are more prevalent than ever. Through the internet, we are being programmed to choose women for their bodies rather than their characters.

The tragedy of Obsession is that Bear, in making his wish, attempts to force a romance which, in all honesty, was never meant to be. Yet, within arms reach, was a potential relationship which would have taken far, far less effort to make work. Sarah is easily the most fitting romantic candidate in Bear's inner circle; yet he evades her advances for the sake of pursing Nikki.

Ultimately, we realize far before he does, that there was a much better romantic option in his life; one which didn't require black magic to make work. However, with a brain warped by lust, Bear wishes for the love of the prettier girl who doesn't even like him romantically to begin with; and this relationship, held together by the supernatural, leaves terror and death in its wake. And what a shame it is that he didn't simply connect with the one woman in his life who actually cared about him.

It goes to show that today's young men have no clue how to pick a great woman. We just chase after the "sexy" option, forgetting to filter for qualities such as kindness and gracefulness.

Check out my video analysis linked above! Thanks!

Finally watched 28 Days Later, feels like I’m late to the party?

Just watched 28 Days Later and yeah—Cillian Murphy was great, as usual.

The movie would’ve blown my mind if I’d seen it pre-2014. Watching it now though, I mean still a solid movie with great story. But also kinda predictable. Like you can see most of it coming if you’ve watched anything similar in the last decade.

So yes, not bad at all. Just very much a “this hit different when it came out” kind of film.

Now I’m curious and wondering if 28 Weeks Later and 28 Years Later are actually worth it, or am I about to repeat the same experience?

Whats the scariest horror movies streaming right now?

Me and my friends are planning to out-horror each other by picking at least one movie each to watch this weekend when they stay over here. We agreed to have a list of five to see if it's possible to only watch movies that none of us have seen yet. A small prize pool is involved xd

Im asking for some help with non-mainstream films for my list since Im not the biggest fan of scary movies though I enjoy them from time to time. Weapons is probably the most recent one I really enjoyed.

Alien movies

I need some recommendations for some good scary alien movies. I love Dark Skies, Signs and No one is coming for you. Something that has good jump scares is a plus.

Best Theater Experience

I recently watched Undertone at home and loved it, but felt it’s best experienced in theaters because of all the audio tricks they’ve used. That got me curious on what you’ve found to be a great movie in theaters but doesn’t translate as well at home?

Robert Louis Stevenson's short story is brought to life by none other than Boris Karloff, a horror legend.

Here he plays John Grey a resurrection man who sells corpses to a medical college for money however when the bodies run out he starts killing in order to maintain the quota.

Come and learn the story of John Grey and his resurrection.
