What smart lock have you been happiest with after using it for a while?

I've been thinking about replacing my regular front door lock with a smart one, mostly because I'm tired of wondering whether I locked the door after I leave the house.

I don't need anything loaded with features just for the sake of it. I'd mainly like reliable locking and unlocking, good battery life, and something that won't randomly stop working when I need it most. Being able to give temporary access to family or guests would also be nice.

I've watched plenty of reviews, but most of them are based on a few days of testing. I'm much more interested in hearing from people who've actually lived with one for a year or two.

If you have a smart lock, would you buy the same one again? Has it been reliable, or have you run into issues that made you wish you'd chosen something else?

What's the best portable power station for camping and power outages?

I've been thinking about picking up a portable power station, mostly for camping, road trips, and having something reliable around in case the power goes out. The problem is there are so many different sizes and brands now that I'm not sure how much capacity I actually need.

I don't need to run my whole house. I'd mainly use it for charging phones, laptops, lights, maybe a small fridge or fan, and occasionally a coffee maker if it'll handle it.

I've watched a bunch of reviews, but they all seem to focus on specs instead of what it's actually like to own one. I'd rather hear from people who've used theirs for a year or two and know the good and bad.

If you were buying a portable power station today, what would you choose? Anything you wish you'd known before spending the money?

What's the best charcoal grill for someone who doesn't want to overcomplicate it?

I’m looking at getting a charcoal grill, but I don’t want to end up buying something that’s either too cheap and annoying or way more grill than I actually need.

Most of what I’d cook is pretty basic stuff like burgers, chicken, steaks, vegetables, maybe ribs once in a while. I care more about good heat control, easy cleanup, and something that feels like it’ll last than having a bunch of extra features.

For people who use charcoal grills regularly, what would you recommend? Is it worth spending more, or are the simple ones good enough if you’re mostly cooking for family and friends?

Best eSIM for international travel? What are you using?

I’m getting ready for an international trip and I’ve been looking into using an eSIM instead of dealing with roaming or buying a physical SIM when I land.

From what I understand, the main appeal is that you can set it up before the trip, land with data already working, and avoid hunting for a SIM card at the airport when you’re tired and just want to get to your hotel. That alone sounds pretty convenient.

I mostly need data for maps, WhatsApp, rideshare apps, translation, browsing, restaurant reservations, and maybe occasional hotspot use. I don’t really need a local phone number unless it’s absolutely necessary.

For people who travel internationally often, has an eSIM been reliable for you? Do you usually buy one before leaving, or wait until you arrive? Also, is it better to get one regional plan for multiple countries, or separate eSIMs for each country?

Curious what people here actually use, because every site makes it sound simple, but I’m wondering what the real experience is like once you’re actually traveling.

What’s the best PDF editor that isn’t annoying to use?

I’m trying to find a good PDF editor and honestly I’m tired of tools that say “free” until you actually try to save the file.

I mostly need it for simple stuff like editing text, adding signatures, filling forms, combining PDFs, deleting pages, compressing files, and maybe converting to Word sometimes. Nothing too advanced, but I do want something that doesn’t ruin the formatting or make me fight with the interface for 20 minutes.

I’ve tried a few basic PDF readers, but most of them are fine for viewing and terrible once you actually need to edit anything.

For people who work with PDFs a lot, what PDF editor has been the least frustrating for you? Is it worth paying for one, or are there actually decent free options that don’t feel like a trap?

Which eSIM worked best for your France trip?

I’m heading to France soon and I’m trying to avoid that thing where you land, open maps, and realize your data setup was a bad decision.

I’ll mostly use it for directions, trains, messaging, random restaurant searches, and normal travel stuff. Paris is part of the trip but not the only stop, so I care more about reliability than crazy speeds.

For people who already used an eSIM in France, which one ended up being worth it? Did you wish you bought more data or did most of it go unused?

Which eSIM worked best for maps and daily travel in Korea?

I’m planning a trip to South Korea and trying to figure out the easiest way to have data ready as soon as I land. I don’t really want to deal with airport counters or swapping SIM cards after a long flight, so I’m leaning toward an eSIM.

I’ll mostly need it for maps, translation, Kakao/Naver apps, WhatsApp, browsing, reservations, and maybe hotspot here and there. Most of the trip will probably be Seoul and Busan, but I may add places like Jeju, Gyeongju, or smaller day trips too.

For anyone who used an eSIM in Korea, how was the setup and coverage? Did it work smoothly outside Seoul, and was the speed good enough for daily travel stuff?

Also curious if unlimited data is worth it there or if a normal data plan is enough for a 1–2 week trip.

What is an eSIM and is it actually better than a normal SIM card?

I keep seeing people talk about eSIMs for travel, but I feel like a lot of explanations make it sound more complicated than it is.

From what I understand, an eSIM is basically a digital SIM that you install on your phone instead of putting in a physical SIM card. You usually scan a QR code, activate the plan, and then your phone connects to that mobile network.

It seems useful for trips because you can set it up before landing and avoid hunting for a SIM card at the airport, but I’m curious how smooth it is in real life.

For people who’ve used an eSIM before, was setup easy? Did it work as well as a physical SIM, and would you use one again?

What’s the best portable air conditioner that actually cools a room well?

I’m looking for a portable air conditioner and honestly the reviews are making it harder to choose. Some people say they work great, others say they’re loud, weak, or barely better than a fan.

I don’t need anything fancy, I just want something that can cool a bedroom or small living room without being a nightmare to set up. I’m mostly worried about noise, draining water constantly, high electricity use, and whether a single hose vs dual hose actually makes a big difference.

If you’ve used a portable AC before, which one actually worked well for you? Was it worth it, or would you go with a window unit instead if you had the choice?

What’s the best eSIM for Portugal and Spain that actually works well?

I’m planning a trip through Portugal and Spain and I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to stay connected without dealing with roaming fees or buying a physical SIM when I land.

I’ll mostly need data for Google Maps, WhatsApp, booking stuff, restaurant searches, and posting a few photos here and there. I don’t need anything crazy, but I’d rather pay a bit more for something reliable than save a few dollars and have it barely work once I’m there.

Has anyone used an eSIM across both Portugal and Spain recently? I’m curious which ones had good coverage, decent speeds, easy setup, and didn’t randomly stop working halfway through the trip.

Would love to hear what worked for you and what you’d avoid.

What are the best beaches in Portugal if you could only pick a few?

I’m planning a trip to Portugal and I realized there are way more beach options than I expected. Every article seems to recommend a different list and now I have no idea which ones are actually worth prioritizing.

I’m open to anything honestly. Big dramatic cliffs, quiet hidden beaches, clear water, places that feel less touristy, good sunset spots, beach towns with good food nearby, whatever.

Right now I keep seeing people mention Algarve a lot but I’m wondering if there are underrated places outside of the obvious ones too.

If you’ve been to Portugal, which beaches actually lived up to the hype and which ones would you skip?
