I’ve just found this LG monitor sitting next to the dumpster

Hello!💻 A cool thing just happened to me, I’ve just found this LG Flatron W1924S sitting next to a dumpster near a block of flats - it’s fully functional, however, I washed it with acetone after I took it home, and unfortunately it made the plastics look a bit worse… I am not mad though. I still got a fully functional monitor, that I will actually gonna use with my MacBook!🖥️ I know it is a bit old, but I still can’t believe that people are throwing away perfectly good stuff, because they are a bit old. But it’s a good thing for us, people that find them, and know what to do with them😀

W or L find?💬

I’ve just saved these phones from going into e-waste

Hi there! I’ve just rescued these phones from going to e-waste - my neighbor gave them to me, otherwise they would be lying in a drawer for years or just go straight to the e-waste bin📱

I am pretty happy with my find! Although technically I didn’t find them in some bin, I still saved e-waste, so I think that counts as well😄

I am very happy though, not gonna lie.

My phone upgrade history as a younger-ish teenager

I saw so many of these that I thought why not to share mine too🙂 I am a younger teenager and this is my phone history. I am really keen on technology, and use my phone to run my YouTube channel and my small phone flipping business. Even though I am a “nerd” I don’t upgrade my phone that often - I just don’t see a point in it. Well, share your thoughts!📱

  1. Sony Xperia ST21i. Got it as my first phone in 2019, used till 2020. Incredible phone, played my first games on it. Android 4.4, incredible battery life… can it get better?
  2. iPhone 5S - got it in 2020 as my first true smartphone, used to listen to radio, play games and watch some YT. Started running my channel on it. It was great, but so old, I started suffering from too old software to run modern apps. Used alongside the next phone…
  3. …which is the Huawei P9 Lite 2016. I didn’t like this phone, it lagged like crazy and was slow but you know? When there was nothing else, it was actually really good. Nice screen, nice camera… crazy good battery life… Yeah, it was nice, but also bad in some ways.
  4. My current daily-driver, the iPhone 12 64GB. Got it in 2022 and I use it till today, not planning to upgrade. It’s a really good phone, especially the screen and performance. Although I fill up the storage pretty much full, the battery isn’t the best and it lags on iOS 26, I love this phone.

What about you?

Just got this pristine iPhone XS for 50$

So I’ve just bought this perfect condition iPhone XS 64GB in gorgeous Space Gray color for an equivalent of 50$ (180 PLN in Poland where I live). It came with its original box and manuals with the software being iOS 16.0. Face ID and all of the other features work, the battery health is 76%. Overall, for just 50$ I think is was an absolute hell of a bargain!😄 What do you think?

I found a whole PC in front of my neighbors house - works like new!

I recently found this PC that got threw out for e-waste recycling by my neighbors - saw it when I was walking on my street, asked them if I can grab it and 5 minutes later it was mine. It is rocking the Intel i5 6500, had no RAM but I put in 8GB DDR4 (it was before the RAMmagedon) 120GB SSD, terabyte HDD and a GTX 960 4GB! It works like new and it is now a Debian + CasaOS server. What do you think about my find?😄

Hello everyone! I just got this iPhone 4 16GB for equivalent of 5$ in Poland, where I live. Bought it for 20 PLN (~5$) in a flea market, along with Galaxy S7 at the same price. This iPhone had screen, and probably also icloud lock on it, but I had a spare motherboard for this model and I quickly swapped it out, and just like that I had a perfectly working iPhone 4 16GB. I am looking for jailbreak methods and tweaks that I can install, do you have any recommendations? And, what do you think about the price?🙂
