ASRock RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming 24GO with wrong VBIOS
My GPU (the one in the title) seemingly has the wrong VBIOS and I cannot control the RGB lighting on the card. I've tried contactiong ASRock directly first, but they weren't really of help. Looking for advice. See the messages below for more info.
My message to ASRock:
"I bought the the GPU I've described (ASRock RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming 24GO) off tori.fi (a second hand marketplace here in Finland) and after installing the GPU in my PC I noticed I could not control the RGB on the card no matter what I tried. Even your own software (ASR Polychrome LED) doesn't even recognise that the GPU is even in the PC. It just reports "No ASRock peripherals detected on this computer!" when trying to launch, and yes, it's properly installed. I even had to uninstall Faceit in order to properly install it. Later I decided to install GPU-Z to check what was reported, and GPU-Z actually says that the GPU is an XFX model instead of the Phantom Gaming that it very clearly is.
Now the options are, that either someone has installed an XFX VBIOS on this card for some reason, or that this is actually an XFX board and someone just switched the cooler off an ASRock PG card onto it. I just don't see why they'd switch the cooler of it since I even got the original box and everything. The previous owner (I'm the third owner of this card) did mention that the original owner actually took the card to get its thermal paste changed, but I don't see why they'd touch the cooler? It does perform exactly like an RX 7900 XTX should perform and seems to function completely fine in every way except for the RGB (it's stuck at red).
Here's the link for the VBIOS that's currently on the GPU (I think?):

I'm simply seeking guidance as to how I should proceed... Should I flash one of your VBIOS onto the card in hopes that it doesn't brick the whole system (in which case I would greatly appreciate if you'd provide the proper VBIOS), or what?"
ASRocks response to me:
"Thank you for contacting us.
Please be advised that ASRock does not provide VBIOS files to users , nor do we support or recommend manual VBIOS flashing due to the risk of bricking the card.
Since you mentioned that the graphics card currently performs exactly as it should and functions completely fine except RGB control function, our official recommendation is to keep it as the current firmware.
Thank you!
Warm Regards,
ASRock TSD"
