Day Docks @ Ephriam, Sister Bay, Egg Harbor?

My dad and I do a bit of sailing out of Fish Creek. Years ago we used to Fred and Fuzzies or Ephriam for ice-cream.

I was wondering if anyone knows if Ephriam, Sister Bay, or Egg harbor have a spot a 28’ sailboat could dock up for an hour or two to let the crew disembark and use the restroom or grab a quick bite.

What size nut/washer for a Mercury 9.9 pro kicker lower unit?

The shop didn’t put the lock nut/washers back on after an impeller change … doh!

Anyone know what size bolts these are? I can’t find a service manual with a part diagram for this model outboard. I think it may be M8, but not positive.

Tick Proofing my Loved Ones (Wife+Kids+Dog) - need advice

My aging folks have a cabin in the woods in north Wisconsin near a bunch of hiking trails.

I think the only reason my wife has not gone bananas on most of those trips is she loves taking long hikes in the woods.

This year the ticks have been absolutely bonkers and the news is saying half the deer ticks up here have Lymes.

I’m trying to find some clothing, preferably light weight as our trips are almost always in summer, to buy for her and my 5 year old girl and figure out how to protect my two 25lbs dogs (cockapoos 🐕 🐕)

I’ve been reading about permethrin or picaridin treated clothing, is that still the best bet? Most posts I saw about this were multiple years old.

Are there preferred brands or retail stores that carry this stuff?

Is that sort of clothing safe for kids? 👧 👧 I’m not sure spraying a bunch of 40% DEET on them is any better

As far as the dog, the vet just recommended their normal bug repellent edible (simpatico trio), but I’m wondering if I should be considering anything additional.

Hiking dads, moms, outdoorsy adults who are always prepared, you are my only hope, please help 🙏

Outboard shift link pin

How am I supposed to get this lower pin out so I can drop the lower unit to replace the impeller?

I tried tapping it lightly with a thin nail but it is in there pretty good and I didn’t want to bend the shifting linkage
