The Elephant in the Room

I feel like, as someone who likes reading historical-like manhwas, OI and modern ones. I feel like we HAVE and NEED to adress the elephant in the room. What IS the elephant? Well is simply the fact that majority of the new manhwas are either smut or poorly written, with empty, horrible characters, boring and worthless plot or just straight up p@rn.

Now, dont get me wrong, if you like reading smut, i have nothing agaisnt it, i have read some manhwas(2 or 3) with it, not my thing but if it has a GOOD plot, then i guess it works.

But i think it reached a point where i question myself, WHAT HAPPENED? What happened with well written characters? what happened with an actual interesting and unique plot? What happened with well written relantionships? What happened with deep, complex conections? Either platonic or romantic? What happened with deep and unique characters? WHAT HAPPENED WITH STORIES IN GENERAL???

Some of the images i used for this post are manhwas that set my standard too high, that now everything i read feels boring or shallow. Those are the PEAKS.

Feel free to disagree with me, i always like to read other people's opinion, so tell me what you guys think.

For March

So i was looking through some Disney songs, and this one called "Something There" from Beauty and the Beast, and i think it described March beautifully, especially if we're taking about our relantionship with him.

Do y'all see my vision??

Hi yall! So this is my first time in this sub and my first time in the game, so im lowkey a new player and i have some questions, if anyone can answer i will be very glad.

  1. Are the dialogues random?
Lets take March as an example since he is the one im courting. There is a day that i didnt speak to him because i was busy with my farm and etc(example) and i lost his dialogue, does this mean that some other day the dialogue i lost he could still say it or did i lost forever?(i dont know if i explained correctly)

  2. Has the game released already or is this still not the full game/early access?

  3. Do you guys know if there will be other languages in the game? Speaking as a brazilian, i would be very happy if we could have a brazilian translation.

So here are some of my favorite manhwas at the moment, it may change who knows.
Some of these definitely changed my brain chemistry, they gave you art, storytelling, character development, cute(or not that cute) relationships and a very interesting enemies to lovers(based on the last one)

Anyone who is curious here are the names:
The Spark In Your Eyes
As the Heart Leads You
Your Ryan
Selfish Romance
Kill the Villainess
Beastly Things

Any opinions, or recs based on my list?

Hear me out here, we need more manhwas with actual complex and mature characters, who knows what they want, and if dont, that the journey of finding out what they want feels REAL and deep.

Those characters that i used as example, are some of my favorites, and adding a plus, manhwas with couples like them, with characters who are not the fantasized adorkable and suuuuuper shy, ykwm? And that they both works as individuals and as a couple, and by that i mean, for example. The male lead is all stoic and cold and then BOOM sees female lead and instantly everything changes and his whole character revolves around female lead, it happens in the other way around. NO! I Want characters who have their own morals, reasons, emotions, past, dreams and then after meeting someone they love, this doesnt eradicate them as an individual but instead gives them strenght and support! They trust each other, and support what each of them want.

If someone knows recs of manhwa like that, im all ears.

Names:

1 & 2: The Spark in Your Eyes
3 & 4: Stepmother's Marchen
5 & 6: Broken Ring
