Apple Maps satellite imagery, likely captured in early 2025, reveals the HQ-9 air defence setup protecting PAF Base Nur Khan (Chaklala), likely also during Operation Sindoor. The same base later struck twice by the Indian Air Force.

Cyprus President thanks India for supporting the island's reunification despite Turkey's opposition.

"We deeply value India's longstanding support for our efforts to reunify Cyprus and for the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus."

Cyprus sits inside an increasingly militarised Eastern Mediterranean theatre involving Turkey, Greece, Israel, maritime claims, energy corridors and NATO politics.

Delhi is getting more comfortable openly taking positions against Turkey now and normalising a firmer stance against Turkish regional positions.

( 10th May ) Today marks the day when 11 Pakistani military bases were penetrated with pinpoint precision. The satellite imagery was there for the world to see.

I often wonder why the PAF did not even once try attacking India using proper air-to-ground strike packages. Maybe they knew that the moment they attempted sustained A2G operations, their jets would start dropping like flies after crossing into heavily defended airspace, especially considering how solid and layered Indian air defence is.

I also wonder what actually happened with their so-called “Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos.” It’s funny how they celebrate and make edits of missiles launching, yet have absolutely nothing credible to show where those missiles actually landed. There are multiple videos of officers cheering and celebrating launches, but where is the verified impact evidence?

Even Chinese satellite constellations were monitoring the region, yet no supporting imagery was released showing major Indian losses. No commercial satellite imagery, no credible open-source imagery, and no independent OSINT confirmation showed severe destruction inside India. Most of the “OSINT” accounts supporting Pakistan kept circulating decade-old Google Earth imagery, algae marks, renovation patches, or unrelated structures instead of actual post-strike evidence. Not a single proper post-strike image showing severe destruction was presented.

“We are excited to announce that Sarvam is partnering with @PixxelSpace to power the AI backbone of India's first orbital data centre satellite.

This is a first for the country, with India-built AI models running on an India-built satellite and both training and inference happening directly in orbit, without any dependence on foreign cloud or ground infrastructure.” : Sarvam

Opinion: From a defence standpoint, this is the stepping stone towards the future. Onboard AI processing in orbit means ISR data can be analysed in near real time without relying on vulnerable ground infrastructure. In a conflict scenario, this reduces latency and limits interception risks at the same time ensuring continuity even if ground stations are targeted.

An India-built AI stack running on an Indian satellite also strengthens strategic autonomy and data security, a very critical part in modern network-centric warfare.

I would want them to treat this as an opportunity to push to accelerate our satellite defence program ..especially fast-tracking the development and deployment of ‘Bodyguard’ satellites under the broader Satellite Protection Project.

India is developing INS Varsha at Rambilli, near Visakhapatnam, as a dedicated, secure base for its nuclear submarine fleet. The new facility is designed to replace the current exposed and congested harbor in Visakhapatnam, offering a far more protected environment for the Navy’s most sensitive underwater assets.

Satellite imagery and open-source reporting show a well-sheltered inner harbor protected by breakwaters, purpose-built submarine berths, and extensive hardened infrastructure tunneled into the surrounding hills features clearly intended for secure mooring, storage, and maintenance of nuclear submarines.
Once complete, INS Varsha is expected to host both ballistic missile submarines (such as the Arihant class) and future attack submarines.

Its location on the east coast provides quick access to deep waters in the Bay of Bengal, allowing submarines to deploy more discreetly and with reduced vulnerability during transit in and out of port. It will be extremely difficult to track the subs coming in and going out.
