Mutations should be in the game

Mutations should be in the game

Here me out:

Frontier already introduced mutations such as albinoism in Planet Zoo, so it should be plenty in the realm of possibility for them to be able to add it to JWE3. Just like in Planet Zoo, you can get mutations from breeding dinosaurs until one in albino or, potentially, other mutations such as melanism (as you can see in the image). Seeing that Frontier already took modular building in Planet Zoo and applied it to JWE3, I don't see why mutations shouldn't be added as well.

Also, imagine how cool it would be seeing babies emerge from a nest and seeing one of them as an albino. It would give people even more reason to be breeding dinosaurs, especially if they add a system where, if one dinosaur is or had an albino relative, once that dinosaur breeds, it could have a small chance of producing an albino offspring. It would give so much more reason to use the breeding program that nesting provides.

Scabbers Update

Scabbers is WAY bigger of a chore to deal with than I previously thought.

For one, as you can see in image 1, whenever he doesn't get his food on time (thank you all for the food recommendations, btw), he will shriek nonstop until he gets his food, and let me tell you, he is LOUD (his shrieks sound similar to laughter, oddly enough). He is so loud that my neighbors have came to my door more than once to complain about it, and I tell them (for Scabbers safety) that it's just the TV or something and apologize for the noise.

However, despite his noise, he has seem to have grown to trust me enough for me to hold him when I want. As you can see in image two, he has perched on my arm and is doing a t-pose of some sorts (he t-poses a lot, btw, and I honestly don't know why). However, whenever he doesn't get his way, he will grab one of my fingers with his beak and refuse to let go. Either way, things are going well as of now.

If anyone got questions about Scabbers, feel free to ask and I will try to answer :)

Found this little guy in my garbage

I was just taking out my trash one night not too long ago and heard rustling coming from within.

Somehow, this little guy (a rhamphorhynchus, I believe) snick into my garbage and was eating some thrown-out food. However, he didn't seem in the best of shape, the tips of his wings primarily being damaged, likely from rummaging in my trash. I took him in as of now so he could heal, and decided to name him Scabbers, after that one rat from Harry Potter (idk, he gives me rat vibes).

However, I'm unsure as to what to do as of now. I know what to feed him, obviously (canned tuna or any leftovers are his faves, from what I have learned), but if anyone got any more knowledge on rhamphorhynchus care, please tell me.

What is your most humorous moment in PoT?

Here's mine:

I was playing as my rhamp Scabbers (notorious trophy stealer on Sastrei Island) when I saw a sub adult rex (and it's group) at Slop Pond, and the rex had a deinosuchus trophy. I was like, "Hmmm, I don't have one of those yet..." (I have three rex skulls, two large fang/teeth, a sharp claw, a theropod foot, a horn, and plenty more trophies as nest decor already), and first tried pestering the rex into dropping it. Got close to snagging it a few times, until I remembered Rat Out made all dinosaurs near you broadcast and, additionally, stop whatever they're doing, including holding trophies. And so, I went on to steal the rex's trophy, add it to my nest, and would later encounter the very same rex on the verge of death, and thought, "Hmmm... Wouldn't hurt if I just... Stole some blood, right?" and with my other rhamp friend, we latched onto the rex and actually killed him. Unfortunately, my trophy cool down was on, but thankfully my friend got a rex trophy of their own :) (also, I forgot about it at the time, but that kill we got on the rex was actually a rb, for low-killing is illegal on the server, but oh well)

What's your's?

What are things you prohibit yourself from doing when playing PoT?

Just a little context, what are things you prohibit yourself from doing even when you very much can do said things? For example, when I play deathmatch servers, I prohibit myself from doing revenge killing or megapack, just to name a few. I consider these things as personal "virtues", and even when I can revenge kill, megapack, and whatever else is allowed, I still don't do these things out of self prevention. Does anyone relate? (Sorry if this is still very confusing, I recently woke up and am still half asleep while typing this)

What happened to the alien mods like this?

I was never a big fan of them, but they had so much creativity behind them, and they kinda just disappeared. I wasn't a player at the time they were around, and when I did begin playing the game, they were long gone, and out of curiosity, I want to know what happened to them. Anyone knows?

Opinions on Dougal Dixon's The New Dinosaurs? (Not comparing it to modern science, of course)

I personally, like with all of Dougal Dixon's works, very interesting to look back on all these years later. Is it 100% scientifically accurate? Not at all, but it got things correct about dinosaurs that were considered rather controversial at the time such as them having feathers and bulkier bodies than prior depictions. I also find the designs rather interesting from a modern sense as well, especially with those that are rather speculative yet still plausible, like the Gourmand for example. And the Cutlasstooth (the one seen on the cover)? Amazing both looks wise and biologically speaking.

I'm not saying it's perfect by any means, with some depictions being more out there than others, and as said before, it's quite speculative. Nonetheless, I still find this book rather cool to look back on. I would wish, like with others of Dougal Dixon's works, that it got a remastered version with better and more accurate depictions of the dinosaurs seen in this book. If you haven't read it yourself, and if you like dinosaurs alongside speculative evolution, I highly recommend it.

You could even say it's "Absolutely brilliant" in my viewpoint (and yes, this is a reference to a certain person you might know)

How the local megamixpack be pulling up to me, who's just chilling, btw

As we can all guess, this is based off a true story

What's your biggest problem with the game?

I love the game and all, but I obviously can't and don't ignore the problems it has (looking at you, critters and Aldreon balancers), and I want to know your problems for the sake of knowing (this whole format's probably been done before, but bear with me).

Personally, it's the balancing that ticks me off. For example, I could finally be getting good on a certain playable, but then Aldreon is like "NOPE! LETS NERF IT INTO THE FLOOR :D", and then I'm trash at it again because of the damn nerf. I understand some balance adjustments, don't get me wrong, but it's getting to a point where fights you should be able to win by pure logic are thrown out the window (by this, I mean like a rex being absolutely bullied by mid tier predators, especially since now it can't ignore bonebreak, thanks to Aldreon's balancing). I could go on, but I think I rest my case.

How about you? What's your biggest problem with PoT?
