Should I upgrade from Narula IT to AKGEC CSE-IT?

I need some honest advice from current students/alumni.

I currently have Narula Institute of Technology, Kolkata – IT. I have already paid around ₹1 lakh, and unfortunately I will lose the entire amount if I leave.

Through UPTAC Special Round 2026, I have now been allotted AKGEC – CSE-IT.

My situation:

- Current: Narula IT, Kolkata

- Allotted: AKGEC CSE-IT

- Narula total fee: around ₹7 lakh

- ₹1 lakh already paid to Narula: completely non-refundable

- I would have to relocate from Kolkata to Greater Noida/Ghaziabad.

My main questions:

1. Is AKGEC CSE-IT actually a meaningful upgrade over Narula IT?

2. Is AKGEC worth losing ₹1 lakh already paid to Narula?

3. How are AKGEC placements for CSE/IT, especially for an average student?

4. Which college has better opportunities for coding, internships and off-campus placements?

5. Are there any major disadvantages of AKGEC that I should know about?

6. If you were in my position, would you switch or stay at Narula?

Please give me honest opinions, especially from current AKGEC/Narula students or recent alumni. I don't want marketing claims—I'd prefer actual student experience.

I paid the ₹20,000 UPTAC 2026 Special Round fee, but I’ve now decided that I don’t want to participate in the Special Round.

I want to withdraw before seat allotment and continue with my already-confirmed college.

Does anyone know:

- Can I withdraw before allotment?

- Is the ₹20,000 fee refundable if I withdraw before allotment?

- Has anyone actually withdrawn in a previous UPTAC Special Round and received a refund?

- If yes, what was the procedure?

Is it true or a rumor

When I am registering portal is saying enter details are already registered

I'm an outside UP candidate. Neither I nor my parents have a UP domicile.

My JEE Main CRL rank is around 2.7 lakh.

Can anyone tell me which colleges and branches I have a realistic chance of getting in the UPTAC Spot Round or Special Round?

I'm mainly interested in CSE, IT, or related branches, but I'm open to other suggestions if placements are decent.

If any outside UP students with a similar rank got admission through the spot/special round in previous years, please share your experience and the college/branch you got.

A senior who is currently studying in gl b saying that won't get get any of cse allied branches or csit or it in glb at 2.77 lakhs rank in jee as a non up student

And also saying give 2 lakhs donation your admission will be done at mathura but you will study at noida campus only

Should I consider it or not

Can I get data science csit or it branch in gl bajaj at 2.7 lakh ranks in jee

Cuz I saw closing rank was lil bit high than my rank in round 4
